Uses: We use the simple present to:

 Introduce self (My name is Aly. I am Tunisian. I live in Jerba. I study in a prep school.)
others ( This is Sarra . She lives in Sousse. She studies at university.)

 Describe likes ( I like football. My sister enjoys watching cartoons. We love videogames.)

 Describe daily routines/habits: (every day I get up early. I have breakfast. Then I go to
school.My father is a bank manager. He goes to his work by car. At midday, we go home together.)

 Give a general rule ( π equals 3,14 .) (The sun raises from the east.)

 Express opinion ( I think Peter is an intelligent pupil because he works hard and has good marks.)
