The Filipiniana dress is 145 centimeter long. It is made of oxford materials with beads on the lining of
the sleeves. It has a floral design. The gown was used in a beauty pageant in 1937 won by a Calasiao
native beauty.

III. STORIES/NARRATIVES/BELIEFS/PRACTICES ASSOCIATED


Miss Luisa Parayno, the owner of the dress, is a Calasiao native beauty. She won the Miss Dagupan title
in 1937. She wore the said dress on the pageant night. The dress was retrieved by the Dagupan City
government for the benefit of displaying it in their city museum. However, the dress is now in the
protection of the owner’s family members.

HISTORICAL: The dress was worn by a Calasiao beauty in a pageant in 1937 and later won the title.

wearing a Filipiniana. The materials are of good quality which makes it long-lasting.
