1.0 Abstract
The purpose of this report is to show and share the results of the research that I have made about
what destinations or places are preferred by school students ? or what we can say among teenagers .
There are so many places that can be visited by teenagers, such as going to the beach to see the sea or
swimming, you can also go to the mountains for hiking activities, see the sunrise and sunset, you can
also cycle around the city, or go out of town to see a new atmosphere, or go to a coffee shop to hang
out, and that teenagers often visit the mall. and they like to use motorbikes or cars to travel. So I was
researching places where students of the St. Louis Vocational High School, Surabaya, usually visited.

1.1 Introduction
The main purpose of this report is to discuss the topic of Student Travel Preferences at the St.
Louis Vocational High School in Surabaya. There must be lots of places they usually visit, but from
2020 to 2021 we know very well that our country Indonesia is still in an outbreak of the corona virus
or covid-19, a lot of our citizens have contracted this disease to the point of death, this virus does not
look at who where you come from and whatever, this disease will attack people who travel a lot
without using masks or unsanitary living habits, this virus is also contagious. Due to the virus, many
places, even malls and coffee shops, have been closed by the government in order to break the chain
of the corona virus. So what do students do if they want to travel in the current situation and where are
the places? So I'm going to ask some questions to students of St. Louis Vocational High School. Here
are some of the questions

1. Before the corona virus pandemic. where have you gone for a vacation or just to hang out ?
2. During this corona virus pandemic, where do you often go ?
3. You prefer to travel by car, motorcycle or public transport ?
4. Do you always wear a mask and carry a handsanatizer when traveling ?
1.2 Results and Discussion

From the survey results that I got from discussions with teenagers SMK St. Louis, before the
corona virus arrived, around 40% liked hanging out in mall and 50% vacationed out of town . Then
after Corona comes about 50% of students only stay at home, because corona virus. If nothing is
important not going out and 40% going out of town, or just hanging out, but they always obey health
regulations and 100% of them always wear masks and carry a handsanatizer when going out, and
50%. From the survey conducted, 50% of them use motorbikes and 40% of them use cars, but it all
depends on where they want to go, some use motorbikes every day, some use cars when they go
because they don't like vehicle fumes, there are also those who use the car to get out of the city, and
some because of motion sickness while in the car.

1.3 Conclusion and Recommendations

It can be concluded that in their teenage era they visited many places, from malls, coffee shops,
to holidays outside the city. It can be calculated that about 60% of them often go to the mall or in the
city and 40% often travel outside the city. Indeed, the mall is the easiest place to visit and there you
can eat, watch a movie, or just take a walk.
