PAGE 1
A. Lower part
The lower part is made of 3 parts:
− a composite material base connecting the seat to the aircraft floor.
− a column composed of 2 winding composite material tubes.
− a mechanism composed of 1 reduction gear actuator.
B. Seat bottom
The seat bottom structure is made of a light alloy panel and two light alloy longitudinal slides.
The longitudinal displacement is given by a needle bearing and a reduction gear actuator
located in the lower part.
The transversal guiding is effected by a bearing and a reduction gear actuator located in the
lower part.
The locking of the seat bottom in the horizontal or vertical direction is given by the reduction
gear actuator.
Mechanical controls (located on the side of the seat bottom) may be used to override the
electrical control in case of an electrical component failure.
For the seat P/N TAAI2-13 SERIES, a sliding trap located at the front of the seat gives the
passage of the control column.
D. Armrest
The main structure is made of light alloy and is covered by two shrouds. The assembly is hinged
on a pin located on seat back rest part.
PAGE 2
F. Actuators
(2) AVIAC and LABINAL actuators have the same external characteristics. Internal design is
different.
− AVIAC actuator is equipped with 1 AC motor. When a displacement is selected, power
is applied to motor and an electromagnetic system select the gear mechanism.
Electromagnetic brake release the gear mechanism in order to move the seat.
(3) Each actuator is equipped with an over torque system to prevent damage.
− AVIAC actuator is equipped with mechanical over torque system on H and V
movements. This system cuts off the power to the motor using two micro switches.

2. Operation
A. Seat bottom
NOTE : Only the first operated switch selects the movement. it is not possible to
move at the same time the seat in horizontal and vertical displacement.
NOTE : A load generated by of the occupant and applied in the opposite direction the
displacement of the seat can be a cause for an over torque detection.
NOTE : Only the first operated switch selects the movement. it is not possible to
move at the same time the seat in vertical and horizontal displacement.
PAGE 6
B. Seat back
The seat back rest is adjustable within the limits (-7° - 27°) with the handle R (see figure 4).
Pull upward the handle R and apply a rearward pressure on the seat back in order to recline it.
The seat back rest is locked in the desired position by releasing the handle.
Pull upward the handle R, the seat back automatically comes back to forward position.
PAGE 7

5. Storage
CAUTION : WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SEAT FROM THE A/C TO STORE IT, IT IS
NECESSARY TO INSTALL 4 PROTECTIVE STOPS PN: 4260TYPEPC20 AND
FLY NUTS P/N: HFQ1BF060TCD OR NUTS P/N: XTQ1AG060ACD, UNDER
THE SEAT BASE TO PRESERVE THE FEEDER AND THE SEAT BASE
FROM DAMAGE (SEE FIGURE 711).
NOTE : The old repair shop bench P/N 95100TAAI1-03PE00-01 is no longer available but
can always be used for those seat types, or can be modified after application of
SIL95100TAAI1-25-077.
FIGURE 711
NOTE : The seat assembly is essentially corrosion resistant and no special treatment is
necessary.
PAGE 736
(1) In a sheltered, ventilated place, and with a normal hygrometric degree (70 %).
(2) Away from light (to prevent damage to fabrics and foams).
(3) No load must rest on the stored seats; do not stack the seats.
(4) Install the seat on a soft plane material. The seats must rest on clean, non abrasive and
non corrosive surfaces.
(5) Wrap the seat in thermoweldable material (Specif. C315) or Kraft paper (Specif. G 231
N) or in a plastic bag. Use adhesive tape to close the wrapping.
(6) Identify the seat and the revision or storage date on a placard or any suitable location on
the wrapping.
(7) Seat must be stored in maximum vertical up position in order to not damage the main
cylinder
(a) Inspect that no cushion cover shows damages or stains caused by any insect or
gnawing of animals.
(b) Inspect the good position and the good shape of the cushion covers, in order to
make sure that Velcro type tapes have not been damaged by important temperature
difference (big risk in workshop or shed subject to high temperature variations).
(c) A visual check of polycarbonate shrouds or plastic covers, that could be located at
exposed places on the limit dimensions of the seat (for example, on ground or on
armrest extremities…), and that can be damaged by shocks or rubbing.
1 Check the "recline" function of the seat back and its upward travel under the
own thrust of the cylinder.
(e) Check the downward travel of the seat until its maxi low position, and then its
upward travel under the own thrust of the cylinder.
(f) Check the upward travel of the side stick control armrest that is also compensated
by the thrust of its own gas cylinder.
PAGE 737
(g) There is no shelf life limit indicated by the restraint system manufacturer, but for
safety reasons, it can be advised to check the good trigger of the rotating buckle
and the locking function under the pulling of both shoulder straps. Check also the
good operation of the "lock/unlock" harness lever.
NOTE : It is not necessary to re-issue an EASA Form One after these visual checks,
because these inspection procedures are just recommended but not
mandatory. Nevertheless, you can do an updating by the way of the cell 12
where you can mark the Inspected & Tested notion.
