1.1 TEACHING OBSERVATION

During the School Orientation Program (SOP), we are allowed by the faculty

to observe our mentor in class. I am going to observe my mentor on how she teaches

and see his teaching style in the class. We have been provided with the classroom

evaluation form where we need to fill up the form during the observation.

Overall, from what I had observed during the observation are the way she

teaches the students. She was using both language which are Malay and English

language as this class using Dual Language Program (DLP) even though SMK Jalan

Kebun did not take DLP. This is because she wants her students familiar with both

English and Malay term as it is important for them whenever they in high institute.

Then, the content that she delivered was so organized from the beginning

until the end of the class. She looked very well prepared as she can deliver the

lesson smoothly. She also better in grabbing student’s attention and interest in class.

Her voice is clearly projected, and she used different intonation to vary emphasis.

The most important was she can answer and explain all the student’s questions well

in the class. Students seems understand and clear with her lesson.
