In today’s happenings in our society, lots of unexpected behaviors have been occurring

specially towards those disabled individuals. It is a sad reality there are discriminations that
keeps on roaming around targeting those individuals with impairment, activity limitations, and
participation restrictions. In fact, having disability does basically mean that an individual can’t
do anything or they don’t have such capabilities and abilities, just a reminder lots of persons with
disabilities are well known in different fields like Nick Vujicic an austrilian man who was born
without arms and legs who became a world-renowned speaker, New York Times best-selling
author, coach and entrepreneur. Although he suffered from it he did surpass it. Disabilities is not
just what an individual inherit or they are born that way but also it may be a result from accident
or any developed disease.
My role as a teacher someday when it comes to this kind of topic or circumstances is to
educate my students that although some people have suffered from disabilities it does not make
them below anyone or make them less a person. A school should be a place where this
individuals feels a sense of belonging. For those student suffered from disabilities I’ll empower
them to explore and be confident of being themselves that they don’t need to feel that they don’t
belong in a particular group within the society, that although there are differences that they found
between themselves and others they don’t need to feel bad about themselves rather work hard for
progress, to show their talent and skills because in the society they can also play a role.
Teacher’s role in educating students is very essential to students’ growth and behaviour
towards others and themselves. Students must be enlightened at early stage for them to grow as a
good individual who will respect differences and will not consider it as being above or below
others rather a challenge that needs to be faced together with love and without discrimination.
