Tasks and Assessment:

1. Recall the ideas and concepts from Module 1


specifically the Development of Art Galleries in
the Philippines;
2. Read the Philippine Visual Arts in the CCP
Encyclopedia of Philippine Art (PDF Files 1-6) then
list at least five (5) art productions that you
want to delve into from Ethnic Tradition, Spanish
and American Colonial to Contemporary Traditions.
Example: “Manunggul Jar”; “Sarimanok” etc;
3. Online Discussion about the content and talking
points (announced through Canvas);
4. Read Endaya’s article entitled “Towards a Herstory
of Filipino Women’s Visual Arts”;
5. Promote our Nation’s Visual Arts through the five
(5) art productions that you opted to delve in
(refer to no. 2) in a powerpoint presentation. Then
create an abstract1 paper with at least one hundred
fifty (150) words minimum in Filipino or English
guided by Endaya’s Article accordingly.

sa kalakhang masang Filipino. Inilapat ang Teorya ng Manipulasyon ni Andre Lefevere upang

na ang nasabing obra, layunin ng pagsasalin na maipahatid ang mensaheng magtataas ng kamalayan

magpapakilos sa sambayanang Filipino tungo sa kalayaan.
