TITLE 1
Introduction
There is a trouble happened in coffee shop about its supplier, As a social media manager, I
have to find out an appropriate and possible solution for small local coffee shop and what is
the best way to promote Earth day campaign after three week period.
Scenario Summary
Overall situation
I am Social media manager in small, local coffee shop. Corporate social responsibility
is a core in our business. We follow all the eco-friendly activities in the process of our
products. However, one of suppliers illegal exploit plant on protected forestation. I have to
come up with a solution as coffee shop owner want to run Earth day campaign on the next
three weeks. Bellow this is my three responses for discussing, and we going to find out what

As Social media manager, I would like to maintain good image of coffee shop. So it
is important to keep ethical practices which is core value in coffee shop system. I will present
illegal exploitation of supplier to coffee shop’s owner; then I propose that we have to change
to another supplier who is doing eco-friendly activities. By doing so, we can highlight our
transparency of coffee resource on the internet, earning customer’s trust during Earth day
period. However, changing supplier will waste a lot of time to find another one. In addition,
this situation also depend on policy between coffee shop and supplier. In my point of view,
this strategy is good, but this takes a lot of time to find another supplier, so it is difficult to

There are several ways of promoting Earth day in coffee shop. The coffee shop can run
campaign about using environmental material such as paper straw and cup, or host some eco-
friendly activities such as recycle waste, clean up on side walk or park. Then we can
highlight all of those on social media with information about Earth Day. So, we still
corporate with coffee supplier. However, it will takes a huge risk; if the illegal practice of
this coffee supplier have been publicized, the coffee shop business would have been down.
So we have to cover this supplier as much as we can. In my point of view, this strategy is not
stable and it takes a huge effort to run it. Because we just a small local coffee shop, the

essential for any business practitioner. We should make a meeting with the supplier and
corporate with them to get rid of damaging environment practices. We build a strong
supplier and coffee shop do the Earth day campaign at same time, and it is easy to catch
customer attention after social media team in each company running campaign online. On the
other hand, transparency of our coffee shop increases, leading investors want to invest on our
business. In this way, we can save huge amount of money and time because we do not
change our long-time supplier and earn investment. In my perspective, this strategy facilitates
two companies development and follow what Earth day campaign has brought.

Conclusion
Based on each respond analysis. I prefer to respond number three. Because it brings a
lot of benefits compared to other responds. Firstly, we waste no time to find another
suppliers. Secondly, this strategy really appeal investors based on transparency and
communities that we built. Finally, we can run Earth day campaign within three week by
following this strategy. All we need is agreement between coffee shop and supplier.
