Purpose / Role

Principal responsibility for the QA/QC Coordination processes and procedures within ND

Key aims and objectives

 To ensure that Nigerdock has efficient and robust processes for the respective sites and projects.
 Ensuring the handover and delivery of all completed documents meet project milestones, data and
models/systems/databases in accordance with Client, Company and statutory requirements.
 To ensure that the company implements and operates state of the art document control systems
and processes which add value and meet the needs of the company and its clients
 Transfer of skills to Nigerian colleagues.
Prime responsibilities and duties
Senior QA/QC Co-ordinators scope will include directing and managing the QA/QC in a manner that achieves
project quality requirements within the cost and scheduled targets set by company.

The Responsibilities of the Senior QA/QC Coordinator include but are not limited to the following,

 Participate with the Quality Manager in the preparation of the QC Surveillance Plans related to the EPC
scope of work
 ·Assist the QA/QC team to review the Contractor’s QA/QC Documentation such as Quality Plan ITP
QA/QC Procedures etc. related to EPC works
 ·Ensure the implementation of approved Quality Plan ITP Inspection & Test Procedures developed by
the Contractors for the EPC scope of work to be executed both during the detailed engineering phase
and during fabrication and construction phase
 ·Provide necessary coaching and support to the Discipline QC Inspectors to ensure that all inspection
and testing with Hold and Witness Points are adequately attended,
 ·Monitor the performance of ND QC staff on-site during the implementation of the approved Clients/ND
Procedures & ITPs
 ·Participate in the implementation of the Project’s Audit/Surveillance Program,
 On a basis of monitoring data and Audits issue and follow up on Nonconformity Reports NCR Corrective
Action Requests CARs and Preventive Action Requests PARs
 Give necessary support to the QC staff as per approved QA/QC Organization Chart involved in the
execution of EPC work to adhere and commit to the Project QA/QC plans and procedures and assist
them if necessary during the quality surveillance activities
 ·Provide technical and administrative direction to field staff responsible for performance appraisals goal
setting training and quality of function under their leadership

 ·Produce audit schedule to cover work scope & subcontractor surveillance
 Be able to develop and train ongoing Nigerian Content (QC Personnel)

Other duties

 Develop and manage project /supplier specific interfaces

Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues, Coordinate and chair QA/QC site weekly
meetings with the projects Personnel & QA/QC,

Reports

 Provide Weekly/Monthly reports and KPI’s to the GM HSEQ and Projects.

The Person
 Strong commitment to high standards of safety and safeguarding the environment
 QA/QC Co-ordinator should have a Minimum HNC/HND in a relevant Engineering/inspection subject,
 Relevant NDE Knowledge with a minimum PCN/CSWIP RT interpreters (VI) Certification
 CSWIP Level III (3) / 3.2 Inspection certification
 Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in QA/QC oil & gas which includes experience in Man-
management of NON expatriate Nationals
 Should be having minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in handling similar role/Oil and gas
 Able to demonstrate and be familiar with the following standards AWS D1.1 / ASME & Total specifications
 Full understanding of the ISO QMS management systems, processes and delivery requirements of the
construction / fabrication Oil & Gas industry
 Good communication and inter-personal skills with ability to communicate well with other departments
 Good client liaison skills and ability to manage client expectations
 Culturally aware and adept at operating in a multi-cultural environment
 High level of integrity and ethical behaviour – sets a good example
 Performance/delivery orientated
