Printing the Event Log.

[Solution]

To print the Event Log:


1. Enter Service Mode.
2. Press the Utility/Counter key.
3. Touch [Meter Count] on the meter count display.
4. Press the following keys in this order: Stop → 0 → 0 → Stop → 0 → 1
5. Touch [Password]; then enter the CE password using the display keyboard or the 10-key pad. The
default password is 92729272. You will need to touch [OK] twice after entering the password.
6. Touch the down arrow once.
7. Touch [Printer Menu].
8. Touch [Event Log].
9. Touch [Print].
10. Touch [OK].

The Event Log lists the jams/troubles that occurred and the history of replacing consumables, etc. The
items that can be checked are as follows.
The items which can be checked are:
Paper Jam Error: Number of times jams have occurred and the history
Engine Fatal Error: History of trouble codes which required a service call
Fuser Unit: History of fusing unit replacement
Transfer Belt: History of transfer belt replacement
Second Trans: History of transfer roller replacement
Toner Cartridge: History of toner cartridge replacement
Imaging Unit: History of imaging unit replacement
Trouble Counter: Trouble count for each section
