GENERAL DESCRIPTION
STK200 is specially designed as a control unit for laundry and textile driers. It runs the process
according to the either time-temperature or RH parameters and at the end of the process it is also
possible to apply a cooling cycle.
STK200 is able to fulfil the requirements of many kinds of drying applications by five user
definable programs.
Process status indicators and large parameter displays make the programming and controlling the
program steps easier as well as monitoring the process steps in distance, for the operator.
STK200 is also able to tilt the drier in order to unload the machinery.

KEYS

There is seven key on the front of the controller.

START
Start the selected program.

STOP
Stops the currently running program

PRG
Enters the programming mode and saves the program

MOD
Enters the tilt (unload) mode

UP
Increase the value of a parameter, selects program or tilt the machinery backwards
according to the controller’s active mode

DOWN
Decrease the value of a parameter, selects program or tilt the machinery forward to
the controller’s active mode

COVER LOCK
Turns on or off the cover lock

STATUS INDICATORS

Time
If the process runs according to the time-temperature parameters, this indicator lights.
When programming, indicates the drying time parameter.

RH
If the process runs according to the RH parameter, this indicator lights.
When programming, indicates the RH parameter.

Temperature
Indicates the heating activation while program is processed.
When programming, indicates the temperature parameter.

Cooling
Indicates the cooling activation while program is processed.
When programming, indicates the cooling time parameter.

Cover lock
Indicates if the cover lock is activated.

DISPLAYS

There are three led displays on the front panel.

TEMP (TEMPERATURE DISPLAY)

It displays real time drum temperature while program is processed and
temperature parameter while programming.
It is with 3 digits.

%RH (RH DISPLAY)

It displays real time relative humidity while program is processed and
relative humidity parameter while programming.
It is with 2 digits.

TIME (TIME DISPLAY)

All the time parameter are set and watched on this display.
It is with 5 digits and time set is shown in the format of hh.mm (h=hour
m=minute).

INSTALLATION PARAMETERS
In the first installation on a dryer, STK200 has to be set up accordingly to the drier.

Set up procedure:
1. Turn it off.
2. While pressing the STOP key, turn it on.
3. Release the key. P01 message will be shown on the TEMP display, which indicates
the parameter number, and the set value of P01 on the TIME display.
4. Each click on the PRG key will set the displays to the next parameter by increasing the
parameter number.
5. The value of the parameters is changed by using UP and DOWN keys. Each click on
the UP key set the TIME display to next possible value of the parameter, DOWN key
works vice versa.
6. Press PRG key to save the set value of the parameter in the non-volatile memory.
7. To end editing the installation parameters, press STOP key. It will return

P01, RH OFFSET
(Default: 7 [%RH])
This parameter is used to correct the measurement errors that could occur under high
speed air flow over the sensor, which could be produced by a fan with high suction
capacity. The RH OFFSET value is added to the value read from RH sensor.

P02, RH MEASUREMENT STARTING DELAY

(Default: 4 [minute])
Delay time to start measuring RH.
It is necessary to start measuring RH when the inside of the drier is hot enough to produce
humid from the material to be dried. In the beginning of the procedure, because of low
inner temperature of the drum, the humidity of the materials cannot be sensed. Therefore,
it is necessary to wait for a while to reach enough temperature to produce humid from the
material.

P03, HARDWARE TYPE OF THE COVER LOCK

(Default: 1)
Specifies the type of the cover lock and can be set to either 0 (pneumatic type) or 1
(electromagnetic type).
0 (pneumatic type): At each press on the Cover lock key, the related Cover lock indicator
and the lock change state.
1 (electromagnetic type): When the Cover lock key is pressed, the indicator is lights and
the lock is energised as long as the value of P04 parameter.

Duration for magnetic type cover locks to be energised.

This parameter is valid only if the P03 parameter is set to 1.

P05, DRUM SPIN MODE

(Default: 1)
Specifies the spin mode of the drum during the process and can be set to either 0 (bi-
directional) or 1 (uni-directional).
0 (bi-directional): The drum spins at one direction for the duration of parameter P06, after
P06 duration time is over, it stops for the duration of P07 parameter restart spinning in the
opposite direction and applies the same procedure for the new spin direction and so on.
1 (uni-directional): The drum spins at one direction during the process.

P06, DRUM SPIN DURATION

(Default: 45 [second])
Spin duration at one direction.
This parameter is valid only if P05 parameter is set to 0 (bi-directional mode).

P07, DRUM SPIN INTERVAL TIME

(Default: 8 [second])
Intervals between drum spin.
This parameter is valid only if P05 parameter is set to 0 (bi-directional mode).

P08, ENABLING TILTING (UNLOADING) MODE

(Default: 1)
Enables or disables use of MOD key to TILT (UNLOAD) the drier and can be set to either
0 (disable tilt function) or 1 (enable tilt function).
At many small dryers, Tilt feature is not needed. This parameter is used to disable the
control of tilting (unloading) feature when it is not exist on the machinery.
1 (enable tilt function): if MOD key is pressed, tilting (unloading) mode is activated, UP
and DOWN keys control the tilt direction.

P09, COVER CHECK INPUT LEVEL

(Default: 0)
Specifies the active input level for the Cover Check Input and can be set to either 0 (active
when not energised) or 1 (active when energised).

P10, MOTOR THERMAL PROTECTION INPUT LEVEL

(Default: 0)
Specifies the active input level for the Motor Thermal Protection Input and can be set to
either 0 (active when not energised) or 1 (active when energised).

P11, PHASE PROTECTION RELAY INPUT LEVEL

(Default: 0)
Specifies the active input level for the Phase Protection Relay Input and can be set to
either 0 (active when not energised) or 1 (active when energised).

P12, EMPTY PARAMETER

This parameter is used by only the manufacturer.

P13, MAX TEMPERATURE VALUE

(Default = 85)
This parameter gives a limitation to the user when setting the temperature value on
programming. For example if this parameter is set to 90 C degrees, then the user can
enter max 90 C degrees when programming.

P14, HUMIDTY SENSOR EXISTENCE

(Default = 0)
This parameter defines whether a humidity sensor is used with the controller or not. If this
value is set to “1”, the humidity screen will appear on the front panel, if not there will be no
indication on the humidity screen on the panel.

P98, STK200 HW VERSION

This is not an alterable parameter!
Gives the hardware version number of the controller and is used for service purposes
when needed.

P99, STK200 SW VERSION

This is not an alterable parameter!
Gives the software version number of the controller and is used for service purposes when
needed.

PROGRAMMING
Drying process can be in two modes, Time mode or RH mode.
If the user sets a value to RH parameter of a program, the program is processed in RH
mode. In this mode, the value set to time parameter of the program is ignored and drying
process is ended when the measured RH value is reached to the set value and cooling
step is started.
If the RH parameter is set to 0, draying process is done as long as the time which is set in
time parameter of the program and cooling step is started.

Entering a new program:

- Stop the currently running program by pressing the STOP key.
- Choose the program number by pressing the UP and DOWN key and following the
Program Number Indicators.
- Press the PRG key. TIME indicator will light and TIME display will start blinking.
- Use UP and DOWN keys to set the TIME in the format of hh.mm (h=hour, m=minute).
- Press PRG button to switch to the next program parameter. RH indicator will light and
RH DISPLAY will start blinking.
- Set this parameter to a value If you prefer to run the program in RH mode. Use UP and
DOWN keys to set the RH value.
- Press PRG button to switch to TEMP parameter. TEMP indicator will light and TEMP
DISPLAY will start blinking.
- Use UP and DOWN keys to set the TEMP to the desired value.
- Press PRG button to set COOLING TIME. COOLING indicator will light and TEMP
display will start blinking.
- Set the preferred cooling time value to the parameter by using the UP and DOWN
keys in the format of hh.mm (h=hour, m=minute).
- End the programming by pressing the PRG button.

RUNNING A PROGRAM
To run the one of the programs of STK200;
- Choose the program number by pressing the UP and DOWN key and following the
Program Number Indicators.
- Press START key to start the program.
- To stop the currently running program, press STOP key.

TILTING (UNLOADING) THE DRIER

This mode is active only if the installation parameter P08 is set to 1. This mode is activated
in order to tilt the machinery forward and unload the materials from the drum.
- Stop the process by pressing the STOP key.
- Open the Cover.
- Press the MOD key. ‘tilt’ message will be displayed on the TIME display.

- Press the UP key to tilt the machinery forward or set it to unload position.
- Press the START key to spin the drum.
- After completion of unloading, Press STOP button to stop drum spinning.
- Press DOWN key to set the machinery back to normal position.
- Press STOP button to exit tilting mode as ‘tilt’ message will disappear from TIME
display.

ERROR CODES
Possible errors that may occur during the process are displayed on the TIME and RH
displays on the front panel. TEMP display shows the message Err (Error) and RH display
show the type of error.

Type of Errors:

Error Type Explanation

Cover is open.
This error occurs if the cover is open when the program is started or the
Err dr cover is opened while program is running.

Process halts and the message is given until the cover is shut down and the
cover lock sensor is acknowledged, process carries on running
automatically.
Phase protection error (mains error).
Err Sb This error is produced by Phase Protection Relay if a power loss or a major
(Input 6, voltage fluctuation occurs with mains.
Phase Error) Stop the program by pressing the STOP key. Try to find out whether
everything is ok with electrical panel and mains connections of the drier.
Motor overheat error.
Err tr This error occurs if the motor is overheated.

Stop the program by pressing the STOP key. Check out the mechanic and
the mains voltage as well as the motors itself to find out the fault.
