You are météorologues!

Grade/Subject: 4 FSL Time: Duration: 33 mins.

Overview of lesson:

Students will be introduced to, and then given class time to work on their final assessment
projects. Today they will begin by creating a plan (filling out a pre-made planning sheet) to
present a weather report for at least two days of the week. Then they will construct an
oversized calendar and use it as a background to give a weather report in the following
classes. They will spend this class practicing their weather vocabulary before their final
assessment.
My focus for this lesson is to clearly model the project (I do, we do, you do)

*This will be my first trial allowing these students to choose and to work independently in
partners - I will make sure they know that they will be separated if they can not work together
responsibly.

Reflection : How did it go? What should you change? What did you forget?

Good model, students were engaged and happy to see me without a mask. Many excited by
the idea of showing their learning to ‘the professor’. Students were happy to choose their
partners, however I should have been more prepared to make good connections for those
who struggled to find someone to work with on their own.
