ISO 3758 : 2005 / BS EN ISO 3758 : 2005 (UK) Care labelling of textiles

PRESENTATION

The labelling consists of five symbols which is presented in the following order:
washing, bleaching, drying, ironing, professional care symbol (should be drycleaning)

SELECTION OF TESTS

Compulsory tests :

(1) Dimensional stability to washing (ISO 5077/ISO 6330)(BS EN 25077/BS EN ISO

6330)

(2) Dimensional stability to drycleaning

(4) Appearance after wash (ISO 6330)(BS EN ISO 6330)

(5) Appearance after drycleaning

(6) Color fastness to washing(ISO 105 C06)(BS EN ISO 105 C06)

(7) Color fastness to drycleaning(ISO 105 D01)(BS EN ISO 105 D01)

(8) Color fastness to chlorine bleach(ISO 105 N01)(BS EN ISO 105 N01) - Samples
containing spandex or protein fibre such as wool or silk fibres don’t have to perform
this chlorine bleach test.

(9) Color fastness to non-chlorine bleach(ISO 105 C09)(BS EN ISO 105 C09)- Samples
containing wool or silk don’t have to perform this non-chlorine bleach.

(10) Color fastness to hot pressing (ISO 105-X11)(BS EN ISO 105-X11)
