In the light of Mr. Arcelie G.

Santos (2018), Students are the most important elements of

any educational institution. They are known to be the foundation of the learning process.
Their performance plays an important part in assessing the academic accomplishments
synonymous with what people admire. If students meet their defined academic
expectations and successfully attain a high level of education, the likelihood of job
opportunities is high. This academic performance also represents the standard of
graduates who will become leaders and leaders in economic and social growth in the
region. It is also necessary to have a strong academic standing. School equips them
with the experience, skills and ideals they need to address the unique obstacles they
will face in their lives. In addition to academic learning, students are allowed to advance
in other fields and improve critical skills such as teamwork, good courtesy and unity
through various extra-curricular activities. But in coping with various obstacles and
expectations for a good academic performance, students can feel overwhelming.
Pressure is inevitable under any circumstance or scenario.Even a person who is rich,
strong, and beautiful . However, stress can vary depending on the situation and how
stress is viewed. In school, tension can happen when a pupil undergoes a complicated
or long examination, has an injury, and waits in a queue on a day when something goes
wrong. Pressure is viewed as negative in a variety of ways: mental, cognitive,
behavioral, and physiological processes that arise as a person attempts to cope with or
interact with pressures. Stressful situations rely on a person's ability to deal with
different circumstances and situations.

In the hope of finding the source of stress among Filipinos, CNN Philippines conducted
an open online poll in 2017 and revealed that out of the 200 respondents 23% of them
identified that studies and work as a primary source of their stress

Academic works are the most common source of pressure of the students. It was also
found that there is a significant negative, a weak relationship between the students’
level of pressure and academic performance.
