Adopted children have their own rights bestowed upon them from the constitution just

like any other child that is not adopted. It is therefore right for them to receive information about

their adoption and have the personal right to engage in the act of reconciliation and healing when

they are capable of making sound judgements.Once an adopted child has attained the age of

majority, they can no longer be controlled or tied by their adopting parents through the denial of

information regarding their lives and biological parents. Even though adopting parents have the

right to be the parents to the adopted child, they should not limit the rights and freedom of the

Every family faces a lot of highs and lows within their boundaries. This highs and lows

could be the reason why the adoption of a child had to be done. For example, in a case where the

financial instability or a medical condition. The biological parents in one way are not in a

growth. And so, there would always a natural tendency of the child trying to fill that gap by

looking for their biological parents who have the lacking skills of the adopting parents. This in

most cases results in the adopted child getting dual benefits from the adopting and biological

It is also natural for adopted children to want to find their biological parents because even

though adopting parents may be there to provide for the child, they can never provide the natural

bond that exists between a child and their biological parents. Biological parents have natural

instincts and cohesion with their own children and need no introduction to get to know each

other. Without this in an adopted child’s life, they tend to sense or feel as though a part of their

life is missing. In some cases, the search for biological parents may intensify in cases were

adopted children feel they have different skin color from their adopting parents. This is because

despite efforts to conceal adoption information from these children, the adopted child knows they

therefore natural for adopted children to look for their biological parents and we should allow

that to happen.
