PRESENT SIMPLE

Use: For example:

To talk about
permanent states, I live in London.
facts,general
truths;

To talk about I play football

For timetables. My flight leaves


at 9 o'clock.

Formula: V/Vs
! We use S for he,she,it

For example:
I run, she runs
You dance, he dances
To make negative or interrogative
sentences we use do (I, we,
you,they) or does (he, she,it):

I go to work. I do not go to work.

do not= don't
does not = doesn't

S AT THE END
After -ss, -sh, -ch, -x you have to put
-ES:

For example:

kiss-kisses
fix-fixes

Instead of y (if it has consonant


before it) you have to put -IES:
For example:

fly-flies

You don't change y if it has a vowel
