Virtual Vacations for a Day Don't spend money traveling, because you can travel on your couch
for free! Here are some tips for taking a virtual vacation in a city for one day. Eat something
different for breakfast. Choose a place you don't know. You can choose a city anywhere in the
world. Surf the Internet and find maps and descriptions of the place. Decide which places to visit.
For example, take an online virtual tour of a museum or look at photos of typical monuments.
Read about typical food of the country and cook this food for lunch, if possible. Don't forget to
buy the groceries you need! In the afternoon, watch videos about the city and remember to listen
to some traditional music from the area. For dinner, cook another typical dish, or if possible, go to
a restaurant in your hometown that offers the cuisine from the city you are visiting. In the
evening, email a friend about your visit.
