PART ONE: Discuss the Following Questions in view of the Theories

1. Briefly elucidate the different challenges of Organizational Behavior
2. Change is the order of management and the only certain issue to occur. Briefly elucidate the
different reasons why people resist change with real life examples and techniques of
overcoming employees resistance
3. Group or Team building is an important issue in OB however, it cannot happen once.
Therefore, critically elaborate the different stages of Group/team formation stages.
4. Explain culture, its characteristics in an organizational context and methods of introducing
culture in to organizations/among employees.
5. Discuss what negotiation /bargaining is and explain the different negotiation/bargaining
strategies.
6. Briefly explain the Big-Five Personality Traits and practically relate them by providing
practical examples on how each personality trait affects the employee’s job performance?

PART TWO: Case Formation

1. Compare and contrast the Five Models of organizational behavior. By taking the company
you are working in (any company you are familiar with), evaluate the kind of organizational
behavior model. Justify your recommendation.

2. Ato Habtamu is a general manager of ABC Paper Manufacturing Company. He always


proposes decisions for the company’s directors than he made his own given his top position.
Sometimes, even the managers of the company forget his direct role in decision making
because he always forwards decision than taking the risk to strategic decision by himself.
This resulted by the company’s employees to view Ato Habtamu as lacking confidence in his
leadership style. Furthermore, he usually makes some perception errors in his management
style. For example, he promotes employees of the company based on their race and religion
than the knowledge and skill they have as contributing to the company’s organizational

success. Once he sees negative thing in one of his employees, he rushes in to a conclusion
that the employee is so lazy and irresponsible. Due to this fact, employee turnover at the
ABC company is too high which gets the company to always train new employees.

Taking the above case, please attempt the followings:

1. What is the leadership style of Ato Habtamu. Justify your reason in view of the different
types of leadership styles.
2. Explain the perception error that Ato Habtamu is committing. Critically examine the

different perceptual errors in Organizations and associate your answer with practical

examples.
