The story takes place in a house inhabited by a couple who
absolutely wants to have a child.
First of all, Rapunzel's real parents lived in a house with a
window overlooking a garden surrounded by a high wall, but this garden belonged to an enchantress, who was the fear of all. One day, the lady saw through the window a beautiful fresh flower, so beautiful that the urge to eat became unbearable for her. So she asked her husband to steal the rapunzel from the garden, or she's going to die. But unfortunately, the enchantress saw it and summed himself up if he wanted to keep the rapunzel; she will take the child when the lady gives birth. Then Rapunzel was placed in a tower without a door, or stairs, just a small window through which she must drop her hair to let the witch come in. One day, a Prince heard Rapunzel's voice, and was very touched. So he decided to come every day. He saw how the enchantress entered the tower and did exactly the same thing. The Prince and Rapunzel loved each other very quickly and decided to leave together. But, the witch very disappointed by Rapunzel, decided to cut off her hair and take her to a desert, where she will be on her own. As usual, the Prince came, but it was not Rapunzel in the tower, she was gone. The pain was enormous for the Prince and he leapt down from the tower. Alive but blind, he wandered and one day miraculously, after a very long time, he found Rapunzel. I chose this fairy tale because the disney version is not the same and I didn’t know this version of Rapunzel.
