Objective: At the end of the chapter, students will


be able to practice how to introduce themselves
INTRODUCTION

Introducing yourself is always the first thing you will do when

you are in a new community. Introduction is always be the first

impressions of yours.

Look at this example.

Robert : Hi, Sir. My name is Robert. Good to see you.

Teacher : Oh hi! Good to see you too.

Robert : Thank you for this opportunity.

These are the tips to make a good impression in your

introduction.

a. Use the ‘wh’ questions

 What is your name?

 Where are you from?

b. Make your introduction relevant.

c. Mind the cultural context

d. Be original and put a smile

Mike : “Good morning, Sir. Thank you for giving this

wonderful opportunity to me to introduce myself to you. I am

Mike. I am native to Malang and open to relocate to Jakarta.

Currently, I am pursuing B.A. in Economics at the Brawijaya

University.”
