It is my pleasure to recommend Danielle Speed for graduate admissions at Colorado University-

Denver. I have had the pleasure of working with Danielle at South High School two years Danielle has
been a part of our mathematics department for over six years and previously worked at Merrill Middle
School for seven years. Throughout her 13 years of experience in DPS, she has worked with all types
of students, from English Language Learners (level 1 – 6), SPED inclusion classes, GT, HGT and
honors courses. Danielle has served on our district assessment creation team and scope and sequence
team throughout her experience. She is well rounded and versed in her teaching experience.
Furthermore, she has already completed a Master’s Degree while teaching, and most of her SPED
Endorsement. In 2016 she made the very difficult decision to have a family and spend time with her
little ones rather than continue in school, hoping one day she would be able to return to CU Denver
again. She is very dedicated to her work and all she does.

Through conversations, Danielle wants to return to school and finish her SPED Endorsement as an
example to her students, and her daughters that it is never too late to finish something you started, and
you’re never too old to go back to school and achieve your dreams. Danielle wants to use her SPED
endorsement, in addition to her current math endorsement to help all students find success in
mathematics classes. This will be a huge asset to our building so that all of our SPED students with
math goals receive effective mathematics instruction and SPED supports. Danielle is currently serving
as a part-time interventionist within the department and working to build supports for the entire
Integrated MathThree team that will help serve all students. She is also working on targeting
intervention support around Accuplacer and graduation requirements. She is a leader and is always
willing to jump in and help when needed. She embodies the true spirit of leadership and a Denver
South Rebel. I have full confidence, she will represent CU Denver with the same level of dedication.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Danielle Speed to be a part of CU Denver School. I feel that
Danielle is an exceptionally talented, bright, friendly, and kind team member. She has and will continue
to contribute to our community in significant and heartfelt, momentous ways. If you choose Danielle
