Objective
Students will be able to use key features of quadratic equations from a graph to
write a quadratic equation.
● Line of symmetry: Divide the parabola in ½
● X- Intercepts: Cross the X axis, when y = 0
● Y- intercept: cross the Y axis. When x = 0
● Max/Min/Vertex: The point where the graph is
the highest/lowest/ the data turns around.
● Parabola: Shape of a quadratic graph
● Standard Form: ax2+bx+c = y
● Vertex Form: a(x-h)2+k = y where (h,k) is the
vertex (when plugging in h, use the opposite)
● Factored Form a(x+r)(x + s) = y where r
Materials
Today you will need the following:
● Schoology
● Pear Deck
● May want paper, something to write with and a
calculator.
● Desmos Scientific Calculator OR Desmos Graphing
Calculator.

communicate it with me! Better Late than never!
● You have full access to all of the Class Desmos/Pear Decks (posted in
each day’s folder).
○ Week 3 - 6 the lesson is also linked to the CW grade.
○ If you want a higher CW grade, redo things and email me or text me
you finished for credit back.
