Data Gathering of MAEd 1B Information

TEXTUAL PRESENTATION OF DATA

Laguna College of Business and Arts offers Graduate studies where the Master of Arts in Education First
Year Section B belongs. There are 26 student professionals enrolled and most of them are graduate of
Education where the percentage of Secondary Education graduates are bigger than the Elementary
Education graduates.

65.4% or seventeen (17) student professionals are graduates of Bachelor of Secondary Education while
the 11.5% or three (3) student professionals belong to Elementary Education graduate.

BS Psychology and BS Nursing graduates have both 7.6% enrollees or two (2) student professionals.

And there are student professionals enrolled that is graduate of BS in Accountancy or 3.8% of the total
number of enrollees as well as the BA English graduate.

The student professionals enrolled in MAEd 1B Class are currently working in an educational institution
where 58.3% are from public schools and 30.8% are from private schools.

11.4% of the enrollees are currently working in other private companies while 3.8% is patiently waiting
for opportunities to come.

Most of the student professionals of MAEd 1B has only 1-5 years’ experience in their fields or 69.2% of
the total number of the said class. Students who have 11-15 years of experienced got 3.8% same as the
students who have 26-35 years of experience in their chosen fields. While another 3.8% comes from the
number of students who still waiting for doors to open.

And since the students of the said class are coming from the educational institutions, and when it
comes to their posts or professional designations, thirteen (13) of them or 50% are designated in
Teacher I to Teacher III positions. And only 3.8% or one (1) teacher is designated as Head Teacher from
the total number of

The said designations are only for the public school teachers. Meanwhile, student professionals who are
currently working in private schools or companies have their terms of posts or designations.
46.2% of the respondents are coming from the 20-25 age bracket while from the age brackets of 26-30
and 31-35 are have equal percentage og 15.5% and there are 11.5% from the 51-55 age bracket
followed by from the 41- 45 age bracket which has 7.7% and the least is the 36-40 age bracket with only
3.8%.

Most of the students of MAEd 1B are from Calamba which has 46.2% or 12 individuals. 26.9% are
coming from the nearby City which is Cabuyao followed by Santa Rosa resident students which have
7.7% and there are 1 student each or 3.8% from Tanuan, Sto. Tomas, Lucena, and Sta. Maria.

There is a large percentage of student professionals that only have 1-5 years experience in service while
the least percentage is from the brackets of 11-15 years, 26-30 years, and 31-35 years which have 3.8%.
And there are 15.4% from the 6-10 years in service bracket.

92.3% of the respondents decided to take their Master’s Degree because they want to grow their
professional careers.
