The present continuous tense is formed from the present tense of the verb be and the -ing
form of a verb. It describes activities happening now.
To make question/interrogative
· He speaks Spanish.
· He is speaking Spanish.
These days most people are using email instead of writing letters.
When we are summarizing the story from a book, film or play, etc.
C. Exercise: Write the sentences in present continuous tense!
D. Grammar: Identify these sentences, are they correct or incorrect? Correct the

5. They won’t surprise us with the new product but it’s only a new packaging.
6. I am taking a part time job on a restaurant now, so I have extra pocket money.
8. When I get home in the evening my father are watching the news.
9. My sister is works in restaurant only for two months because she wants to earn money to
buy the latest mobile phone.
10. My needs as a student getting higher, I think I’ll need to take extra job.
D. Writing: by using your imagination, make a paragraph telling about what these people
are doing? At least 6 sentences!
