ranking and more than 50% foreign qualified Faculty, is inviting given below. The applicants who are domiciled in the Punjab and
applications on the prescribed forms for admission to have passed the examination mentioned against each
Intermediate(Pre-Agriculture) Certificate and undergraduate degree certificate/degree course or an examination acceptable as equivalent

Minimum Eligibility Requirements for B.Ed. :
For B.Ed. programme graduation (14 years schooling) from HEC
recognized University/Institution, any undergraduate degree of this
University/BCS(Hons.) or B.Sc.(Hons.) with any discipline of Physics,
Chemistry, Biology (Zoology, Botany)/ Math/Computer Science, Or M.
Sc. in any mentioned discipline after two year graduation securing at
least 45% marks under annual system or CGPA of 2.50/4.00 under
semester system.
a) The students enrolled any degree programme at this University
will also stands eligible to apply in this programe through credit
earning system. The morning students pursuing their higher
degrees in the vicinity of Faisalabad who fulfill the minimum
requirements for admission to this degree will also be eligible to
apply and continue (if admitted on merit) the evening programme
of studies i.e. B.Ed.
b) Merit for admission in this degree programme shall be determined
on the basis of percentage of marks (calculated upto three
decimals) in the degree programme which is a requirement for
admission to B.Ed.
(2) The candidates possessing Three Years Diploma of Associate
Engineer in the relevant technology can apply for admission to B.Sc.
Agri. Engineering, B.Sc. Food Engineering and B.Sc. Textile Technology
degrees, only against their reserved seats under 'Open Merit' and
'Evening College' categories. They shall not be eligible to apply for
admission under any other category in the said course. Their marks will
be converted to a basic figure of 1100(total marks for F.Sc.) and Hafiz–
e–Quran marks, if any, will be added later after conversion.

Age Limit
(3) The candidates who have passed SSC examination not more than
two years before and are 18 years of age for Intermediate(Pre-
Agriculture) and 23 years for other degree programmes on September
1st, 2012, stands eligible to apply. However, there is no age restriction
for B.Ed. programme. The overage candidates(except
Intermediate(Pre-Agriculture) can be granted relaxation in upper age
limit condition by the competent authority, if sleeted provisionally.
For Rural Candidates
(4) In the case of admission to all the above certificate/degree courses
except B.Sc.(Hons.) Home Economics, B.Sc. Human Nutrition &
Dietetics, B.Sc. Agri. Engineering, B.Sc. Food Engineering, B.Sc. Textile
Technology and B.Ed., 75% seats reserved for Open and District wise
merit(where applicable) will be filled in with the candidates having
rural background, to be determined as per documentary proofs
mentioned on the back side of the relevant admission form. The
requisite proof should be issued by the Patwari and countersigned by
the Tehsildar of the relevant district. The proof issued by any other
authority will not be accepted in any case. Such candidates are
required to apply on the prescribed green colour form having heading
“For Rural Candidates only” and attach relevant documents in support
to their claim with the admission application form, failing which their
application shall not be considered under the relevant category
without prior notice.
Blank Admission Application Forms
(5) The blank admission application forms are available in the

prospectus obtainable from the Habib Bank Limited, University Branch
at Faisalabad, on payment of the prescribed price. Those who are
desirous to seek admission at D.G. Khan and T. T. Singh Sub-Campuses
may obtain prospectus from the office of the respective Principal. The
copies of application forms and prospectus of Faisalabad Campus are
also available at the University’s website
http://www.uaf.edu.pk/admissions/un/adm.hotmail. The interested
candidates may download the application form and complete it in all
respect by attaching the requisite documents. Before its submission in
the concerned Faculty/Institute/College/Sub-Campus upto the last
date, should attach bank draft/pay order worth Rs. 2,000/- in favour of
the Treasurer, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, prepared by any
scheduled Bank drawn and payable at NBP/HBL/MCB, University of
Agriculture Branch.
Instructions for reserved seats
(6) The candidates applying for seats of :-
i) ‘Cholistani candidates’ should be by birth actual resident of
Cholistan having birth certificate from respective Union
Councils verified by the Managing Director, Cholistan
Development Authority, Bahawalpur.
ii) 'Disabled persons' should obtain prescribed certificate
complete in all respects regarding “Assessment of Disability”
issued by the District Assessment Board of their respective
Districts. However, in DVM the selection criteria would be
merit cum fitness instead of internee merit and the candidate
will be examined by a Committee under the Convenorship of
Dean concerned.
iii) “Children of Overseas Pakistanis” should obtain

Membership/Registration Card of their father/guardian(if
father died), issued by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation,
Government of Pakistan/NICOP.
iv) the candidates applying against seats reserved for the
‘Children of Agri. graduates’ should attach copy of degree
obtained from this University.
v) those applying against seats reserved for the ‘Children of
University employees(teachers and others), should produce
prescribed certificate issued by the Personnel Section(in the
case of teachers) and Establishment Section(in the case of
other than teachers).
The concerned candidate(s) will submit the requisite
certificate/card alongwith application forms and tick the
relevant category of admission in addition to Open Merit,
failing which the candidate will not be considered against the
said category declaring the application as incomplete for the
relevant category.
iv) The candidates desirous to seek admission against reserved
seats for nominees of other Provinces including Azad Jammu
& Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan should contact the respective
Department of their Government for nomination. However,
they can also apply under Evening College category without
nomination.
Admission on Sports basis
(7) The candidates irrespective of gender seeking admission on the
basis of excellence in sports against the reserved seats (where
available) are required to submit separate single form of blue colour

alongwith documentary evidence, if any, in addition to ‘Open Merit’
form to the Directorate of Sports for Faisalabad Campus and Principal
concerned for Sub Campuses up to the last date. This form is not
included in the prospectus but will be sold on demand through the
Bank on cash payment. The trials for selection of candidates will be
held at Faisalabad as per schedule notified by the Directorate of Sports
and published in the National Press.
Entry Test for Admission to B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering, B.Sc. Food
Engineering and B.Sc. Textile Technology
(8) The entry test for all admission categories/quota(s) and nominees
of other Provinces including Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan,
Children of Defense Forces Personnel as well as Foreign students seats
will be held on the date notified in the National Press. The break up of
test will include 30% marks each for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
and 10% for English. The weightage for admission will be 70% for
Intermediate/three years diploma marks and 30% for entry test
whereas the qualifying marks for entry test are 50%.
The candidates desirous to seek admission in the said degree
programmes are required to submit admission form on Open Merit as
well as entry test form(available in the prospectus) in the concerned
Dean office. A bank challan showing payment of Rs. 1,000/- as test
fee(non refundable) in Account No. 270-5 at the National Bank of
Pakistan(University of Agriculture Branch) or through DD/Pay order in
favour of the Treasurer, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, prepared
by any scheduled bank drawn and payable at NBP/HBL/MCB,
University of Agriculture Branch should be attached with the entry test
form. At the time of submission of said form, the Roll No. slip will be

issued to the candidate at the spot for appearing in the test on the
scheduled date and time to be published in the National Press. It
would, therefore, be appropriate to submit applications for this course
in person instead of its dispatch through any other means.
Entry Test for Admission to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
(9) The customized entry test will be conducted by NTS at the concerned
Faculty premises on the date to be notified in the National Press either by the
NTS or by the University as well as their websites. This test is mandatory for
all admission categories/quotas. The weightage for admission will be 70% for
Intermediate (Pre-Medical, Pre-Agriculture) marks and 30% for entry test
whereas the qualifying marks for entry test are 40%. The interested
candidates may visit www.nts.org.pk for downloading application form and
fee deposit slip or contact for further queries/Registration with Mr. Fahad
Ahmed Ali, Regional Markeeting Officer (Central) NTS on phone No.042-
35694625. The NTS test result conducted at the Faculty on 22.9.2011 and
8.10.2011 will also be considered as valid for admission. The candidates are
required to attach copy of NTS result card with admission application form.
Submission of forms
(10) The prescribed separate applications forms for each of the above
certificate/degree course along with requisite documents as per details
given on backside of each form must be submitted to the offices of the
Deans/Director General/Principal concerned upto the date published in
the National Press. The name of the category in which a candidate
seeks admission must be clearly ticked in the admission form. No one
will be allowed to add or change the name of the category after
submission of application. In case of the candidates possessing equal
marks and standing at the tail of the merit list, preference for
admission will be given to the older one.

Merit Lists
(11) The candidates will not be called for interview and the selection
shall be made purely on merit under the applied category, on the basis
of marks obtained in the last examination. However, the merit of B.Sc.
Agri. Engineering, B.Sc. Food Engineering, B.Sc. Textile Technology and
DVM will be determined according to the procedure indicated in para 8
& 9 above. The selected candidates shall not be informed about their
selection. They shall check their admission from the lists which will be
displayed by the concerned Deans/Director General/Principal on the
Notice Boards of the respective Faculty/Institute/College/Sub Campus
on the date published in the National Press. For admission to
Faisalabad Campus, these lists can also be perused on University’s
website http://www.uaf.edu.pk/ml/un/ml.hotmail. If a selected
candidate fails to deposit University dues within the stipulated period
indicated in the admission notification, his admission shall stand
cancelled automatically without any prior notice. The admission of next
candidate on waiting list will be notified who will also not be informed
about his selection but he will have to check his name from the
admission lists displayed on the respective Notice Board.
Procedure to apply for admission to 'Evening College' Programme
(12) In order to accommodate candidates having good marks, who
could not be admitted on merit and otherwise afford some additional
expenses, seats under Evening College in first degree courses except
Intermediate (Pre-Agriculture) and B.Ed. are available. The minimum
eligibility condition to apply for admission under this category is the
same as prescribed for Open Merit indicated in para 1 above. The other

terms, conditions and procedure to apply for Evening College are as
under:–
(a) all the male/female citizens of Pakistan irrespective of their
domicile can apply for admission against the seats available
under Evening College category.
(b) the Punjab domiciled candidates seeking admission in Evening
College should have also to apply against Open Merit seats of
day classes as a pre-requisite.
(c) a separate pink coloured application form would be required
to submit for admission against each degree programme
which will be sold on demand by the candidates in addition to
price of the prospectus.
(d) The entry fee in addition to normal dues would be as under
which have to be deposited in lump sum before submission of
application form:-
(i) Rs.3,00,000/-(Rupees three lac only) for B.Sc. (Hons.)
Agri. Sciences & B.Sc.(Hons.) Human Nutrition &
Dietetics
(ii) Rs.2,00,000/-(Rupees two lac only) for B.Sc. (Hons.) Home
Economics, B.Sc.(Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture(D.G.
Khan Campus) and B.Sc. (Hons.) Poultry Science (Toba
Tek Singh Campus) degree programmes.
(iii) Rs.4,00,000/-(Rupees four lac only) for B.Sc. Agri.
Engineering, B.Sc. Food Engineering and B.Sc. Textile
Technology.
(iii) Rs.5,00,000/-(Rupees five lac only) for DVM.
In case any deserving candidate could not deposit the

(h) It should be noted that the notification for admission under
Evening College category be issued strictly after finalization
of admission on all categories of admission. If the
candidate, once admitted in a degree programme as Evening
College student, enrolls himself by submitting "UG-I form",
deposits normal dues and subsequently leaves the University
under any circumstances/change admission category, the
amount of entry fee and other dues already deposited by him
shall not be refunded in any case. However, the entry fee will
be refunded as specified under ‘g’ above if:-
i. admission of any candidate is notified but he has not
deposited or deposited the dues but not completed the
enrolment formalities within the stipulated period.
ii. the candidate who has applied against day and evening
classes seats simultaneously but selected on day classes.
iii. the number of candidates in the Evening College in any course
is too small to start the class.
(i) if a candidate of Evening College desirous to change his
course after notification of his admission in a degree course,
may opt for another course once; provided he had already
submitted proper application form under the said category
and falls on merit in that course.
(j) no student of day classes will be allowed to shift to Evening
College in any case and vice versa.
(k) if a candidate who submitted an application form as a day

class student but could not be admitted on merit, he can opt
for seeking admission as Evening College student by
submitting an application to the respective Dean/Director
General/Principal, who after ensuring his merit, availability of
seat and obtaining bank draft of entry fee, shall submit his
case to the Vice Chancellor for approval through the Registrar
office. A certificate must be accompanied with the case from
the Dean/ Director General/Principal concerned that no
candidate on waiting list of Evening College category has
previously been ignored. However, such admission will be
recommended after completion of admission against all the
categories.
(l) in case, seats reserved in the Evening College remain vacant
in a degree course, the same may be transferred to any other
degree course in the same category, if required, with the
permission of the competent authority.
(m) the classes under the category will start functioning in the
morning time and students will enjoy all the auxiliary facilities
such as medical, accommodation(if available) etc. just like
other students.
Detail of Seats
The detail of seats under merit and other Provincial quotas etc. for all
the above certificate/degree courses is given in the Allocation of
Seats Chart, appended hereinafter.
