6. Brake/Pilot Supply System (M300-V, M400-V, M500-V)

1. The brake/pilot supply system of the Mega 300-V, M400-V, M500-V includes the
brake system, parking brake release, and joystick controls and hydraulic fan
motor.

4. Brake Pilot Supply Valve System Theory.

Iaaa0042

A. Brake/Pilot supply pump flow moves across the 10 micron filter and into the
brake pilot supply valve at ports “Fo” and “Fi”.
B. Flow into port “Fi” is directed to unloading valve “C1”. Initially the flow is
blocked. Once brake pressure builds to 120 bar (1700 psi) the unloader
valve will shift allowing oil flow to the hydraulic fan motor.
C. Flow into port “Fo” is directed across the C3 check valve. When flow moves
across the check valve it is free to move to the parking brake directional
valve, service brake accumulators, service brake valve and the C2
reducing valve.
D. When flow moves across the C2 reducing valve it is terminated at the C4
joystick lockout directional valve. At the point all paths are blocked and oil
pressure is regulated by the hydraulic fan motor. The system will remain at
a constant 120 bar (1700 psi).
