Frequently Asked Questions: How to submit work to School Loop?

Q1) I am having trouble sending the work through School Loop. How do I do this?

A) To Submit Work:

1. In your own School Loop portal, go to "Classrooms" on the right top side. Choose your math class.

2. Then go to "Curriculum" given in the top right area. It will show you the current assignment on the left side.
Click on that assignment.

3. Then in the top right  area you will see "Submit Work: Locker or Device". Choose the "Device" option and
submit your assignments.

Note: Scan the assignment (book assignment or worksheet) with a scanner or iPhone--OR take a picture of each
assignment with your cell phone, save that image to your laptop and send as an image.

4. To get a receipt/confirmation of your submission, click on the "Dropbox" option on the top right  area of your
portal. It will list all your previous submissions with a time stamp.

5. I will give you credit for an assignment with all work shown.

Help Suggestion #1: Please refer to the attached PDF if you want to see snapshots of the above instructions.

Help Suggestion #2: Please see the posted information from School Loop’s Help Desk titled “Submitting Assignments
Online.”

Help Suggestion #3: Please see the youtube.com video titled, “school loop – submit a file,” for help on this process.
Please note: the teacher leading this video is NOT a Horner teacher so you will not know the people he references, but
it’s a good guide if you need.

Help Suggestion #4: Review the “Uploading Work to School Loop” PowerPoint presentation that we went over in class
for ideas to help. This file can be found in the “FILES/DOCS/FORM” section on my Horner webpage in the left column.

Help Suggestion #5: Reach out to someone! See if any of your Horner friends or classmates know how to submit work to
School Loop; many other teachers are using School Loop for this purpose and you may know one (or more!) person who
can help you remotely. 

Q2) How do I send multiple pages?

A) If you have multiple pages and only know how to scan a single page, here are the instructions for multiple
pages. Even with multiple pages, you have to submit your homework as a single document in School Loop.

1) Preferred - Scan your homework as a PDF document. You can do this by scanning on a printer or iPhone (yes,
iPhone can scan) or by taking a picture using the "Adobe Scan" app on Android phone or using iPad to generate
the PDF document. Now if you have multiple PDF documents, do the following (see attachment for picture):

a) Go to https://combinepdf.com/ Make sure the "Combine PDF" tab is selected on the page.

b) Select "Upload" and upload the homework files you want to combine.

c) Hit the "Combine" button.

d) It will ask you what you want to do with your combined files. Select "Save As" and download the
combined homework to the proper folder in your laptop/ChromeBook.

e) You can now submit the combined PDF file in School Loop.

2) Alternate method: On windows PC - create a "Compressed Zip Folder" and give it an appropriate name. Copy
your individual homework files into this folder. Submit the Zip File (folder) on School Loop.

Q3) Can I submit work by adding an attachment to an email sent in School Loop?

A) I will NOT be accepting work submitted by attaching the work to an email. I have over 170 students; it would be a
logistical nightmare to accept work this way. Please read the directions on how to submit work via the School Loop
locker and resubmit the work the requested way.

Reminders:

 I am not on Google Classroom nor is there a way to submit work using this platform. Instead, be sure to submit
work to the School Loop Locker; do not attach work to an email.
