Target market for sustainable fashion

With changing times and trends in the economy, developing environmentally friendly items or products
is just not enough to run in the market. We must also market them to the appropriate audience. When
we cease attempting to talk to every customer in our market and instead concentrate on a smaller
segment of the entire population, we begin to differentiate ourselves from rivals in the marketplace.
Customers would prefer us over a rival that isn't overtly appealing to or approaching them if they can
easily connect with our brand and our distinctive selling propositions.

To attain a prospect target market, we would start off with making quick and simple online survey
multiple choice questionnaires to gather adequate data for the new eco-friendly clothing venture. Our
target audience is between the age group of 15-35 which means we would attract the youth, both male
and female who are more concerned and aware about the social issues. As customers, Millennials are
comparatively more interested about a brand's mission and approach to the future of our global
economy. Our target is to simply make sustainability more approachable and accessible to fashion
consumer without minimizing the significance of the causes they advocate. Our motive is clear; in order
to target the right audience, we must be transparent and honest about our products for our reputation
and long term viability. It is widely believed that income correlates strongly with environmental
vulnerability. With that being said, customers who are willing to pay more are our main focus. Hence,
customers with a moderately higher income level, educational background, social status often consider
ecological issues when making a purchase. Thought-provoking messages, as well as unique products and
creative thinking, will help us retain these young customers. Our goal is to startup with an ecommerce
platform and then grow out with a physical retail store in the capital city as well as wholesale for export
to expand our brand among our target audience. Since pollution and other environmental issues are the
major concerns in the city with overly increasing population and conjunction, it is best to start the
development of sustainability from here. The most efficient way to reach these environmentalists is to
provide a variety of relevant brand awareness or service, allowing the customer to make decisions that
maximize their influence.

Our primary target is to make the youth engage in this cause to help save the economy, society and
environment in relation to fashion in the marketplace. To effectively produce desired sustainable
products with quality, we ought to exhibit social responsibility through a holistic strategy that
incorporates design, technology, communication and innovation.
