When God Remembers You
When God Remembers You
Now what happens when He remembers his own? Following are what He has given me
the grace to list here. But His Word says to “taste and see that the LORD is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him” (Psalm 34:8 KJV). Would you be willing to
trust Him with your life and cry out to Him that He may remember you too?
You will receive divine direction (1 Kings 17:1-9). English
Limitations and barriers are removed from your life (Isaiah 22:25).
The spirit of unexplainable disappointment will vacate your life for good (Psalm
71:1).
Where you have lost hope, God will show up powerfully (2 Kings 3:17).
He will give you the heavenly keys for breakthroughs (Matthew 16:19).
Your life will begin to attract godly wealth without sorrow (Deuteronomy 8:18;
Proverbs 10:22).
Your weeping will turn to joy and laughter (Psalm 30:5; Isaiah 35:10)).
Your hidden star will turn to a risen and shining star (Isaiah 60:1).
Your ordained helpers in any nation of the world will locate you (Isaiah 46:10-11).
People will no longer use your old problems to describe you again (Isaiah 43:18-
21).
All your days, you will have reasons to always praise the Lord (Psalm 126).
The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your soul (Isaiah 58:11).
For your shame you will have double celebration and victories (Isaiah 61:7).
He will establish you and keep you from evil (2 Thessalonians 3:3).
Who REMEMBERED US IN OUR LOW ESTATE: for his mercy endureth for ever
(emphasis mine).
Genesis 8:1
Genesis 19:29
And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that GOD
REMEMBERED ABRAHAM, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when
He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt (emphasis mine).
Genesis 30:22, 23
22
THEN GOD REMEMBERED RACHEL, and God listened to her and opened her
womb.
23
And she conceived and bore a son (emphasis mine).
Exodus 2:23, 24
23Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the
children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their
cry came up to God because of the bondage.
24
So GOD HEARD THEIR GROANING, AND REMEMBERED HIS COVENANT WITH
ABRAHAM, with Isaac, and with Jacob, and God acknowledged them (emphasis
mine).
2And he had two wives: the name of one was Hannah, and the name of the
other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
19
…And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, AND THE LORD REMEMBERED HER.
20
…Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying,
“Because I have asked him from the LORD.” (emphasis mine)
For all of these people and others, never for once did God forget them. He is always
“mind-full” of His children. But “remembering” them in their cry was only the first step in
providing divine help and coming through for them in His miraculous saving acts.
Obed-Edom (1 Chronicles 13:14) English
Gift of a son to the Shunammite woman and the raising afterwards of the son from
the dead (2 Kings 4:14-37)
Get to know Him personally daily through the Quiet Time (Ephesians 1:17-19).
Remember the widows, orphans and the fatherless; those who can’t feed, who can’t
pay their hospital bills; those in the prison, etc. (Matthew 25).
Don’t let your mind and its rational logic interfere with the laws and principles of
God (Malachi 3:8-12). Always remember: The foolishness of God is wiser than men
(1 Corinthians 1:25).
Shun a sinful lifestyle; sin is a barrier (Romans 6:1; Isaiah 59:1-2). Forgive when
you stand to pray (Mark 11:25). Confess and forsake your sins; he who covers his
sins shall not prosper (Proverbs 28:13).
Avoid bitterness, anger, wrath, resentment, clamour, evil speaking, malice, envy, etc.
(Ephesians 4:26-31).
Don’t be slothful, work hard (Hebrews 6:12; Proverbs 18: 9). God will not
remember a lazy person.
Don’t go to Egypt for help no matter the pressure. Remember Hannah: she waited
enduringly on the Lord until God remembered her (1 Samuel 1&2; Isaiah 31:1-3).
Serve God with all your heart wherever duty finds or takes you (John 12:24-26).
Let the fear of God rule your life—no matter how highly placed you may be
(Proverbs 19:23).
Invest in other people, in humanity in general. Don’t store up wealth; spread it. Help
the needy. Know that whatever you have, you are holding it in trust for God; to give
Him pleasure and carry out His agenda on Earth. Ensure a blameless stewardship of
the riches of His grace and goodness. Be humble.
Learn to give thanks always to the Lord, no matter the situation (Ephesians 5:20; 1
Thessalonians 5:18).
