CONFUCIANISM Instructions: Now that you completed your Teaching Project, write a multiple-paragraph reflection on the process and the outcome of your project. Be sure to address the following questions: What were the strengths and weaknesses of this process? Were you able to find good resources for your presentation? Were your notes recorded in a clear and organized manner? How can you improve your presentation?
One of the strengths of this project was that I practiced my research skills, which meant that I could be better at them in the future.I alsogot experiencewith JSTOR and NYT ,which would help me to use them later in my life for research. I think that someof the weaknesses of this project were that there wasn’t many information for Confucianism on JSTOR or NYT,which madeit hard to find any information. Also, I think thatI handsome problems with time management during the making of this project. I think it was tough to find good resources for my topic (Confucianism) because we could have only three different ones: books, JSTOR, and NYT. the NYT didn’t have any good information (only about the modern world, and some had little information connect to my subject (something like clickbait). I also couldn’t possibly read all the articles about Confucianism in the NYT. It was hard to find any information in JSTOR, too. Some of the articles have bad quality and I can’t see anything, and others have Confucianism mentioned just one time, so there is no information that I could use. So, the only good thing that I could use were library books, but I had only one of them, but it was long and very informative, so the books were good. I think my notes were not quite organized, but I made some slides in the presentation, in which I copied all the information with the link, but sometimes it was hard to understand which text was for what (was it a doctrine, tradition, virtue, ect.). I could improve my presentation by making it a little smaller (it takes much time, and some people have a smaller attention span). I could also include more dates and a timeline about the events in Confucianism, and I could have explored the gods and mystical beliefs of Confucianist more (like heaven). Overall, I think I made a good presentation, because I had a maximum of 15 minutes, and I couldn’t fit everything about Confucianism in those 15 minutes. Also, my research question was focused on traditions, beliefs, and doctrines, and origins of Confucianism, and not about all of its history (including the modern Confucianism world). Lev Criterion B: Investigating (iv) el 0 I do not not reach a standard described by any of the descriptors below.
1-2 iv. My reflection shows little evaluation or commentary.
I did not address all the prompt questions. I did not use the PEEL paragraph format.
3-4 iv. My reflection evaluates the group project in a basic manner.
I address all the prompt questions in a general manner. I organize my response into paragraphs, but I am not successful using the PEELformat. 5-6 iv. My investigation is appropriately evaluated in a mature and realistic manner. I sufficiently address all the prompt questions and refer to specific examples. 7-8 iv. My investigation is thoroughly evaluated in a very mature and realistic manner. I support my evaluation with ample specific examples.
