The Cow and the Crocodiles

On a hot day, a thirsty cow flew over a field looking for water. For a long time, she could
not find any. She felt very exhausted. She almost give up. She was alone and no one helped her.

A few time later, she bumped into her friend, mouse deer. She asked him, “Hi, mouse
deer, I am so thirsty. Where can I get the water?” “Ummm… I know a place where you can get
the water,” said mouse deer. “Where is it?” asked cow. “There is a river near wheat fields, but I
am not sure you can get the water because there are many crocodiles in the lake,” said mouse
deer. “It doesn’t matter, those crocodiles are my friend,” said cow. Then, the cow went to the
river. On her way, she was very exhausted. She burn herself out because of the long journey.
But, she did not give up and finally she found the river. She was very happy and then she drank
the water from the river, and she bounce back after her exhaustion. When she was drinking, the
crocodiles came into her and said, “Who ask you to drink?” asked the crocodiles. “Oh, my
friend, crocodile, long time no see. I’m so thirsty, I want to drink and mousedeer told me that
there is a river near wheat fields,” said the cow. “Mouse deer? He is my enemy. You are friends
with my enemy, so you are my enemy,” said crocodile. Suddenly, the crocodiles try to do cow in.
The cow can’t do anything. She tried to run but the crocodiles faster than her.

Fortunately, the mouse deer saw that. He thought its better he pass it over, he did not
want to deal with crocodiles. But, he really sorry with the cow. He thought how to release the
cow from the crocodiles.

“Hi crocodiles! Finally I knew that you guys brave to the small and weak animals. Look
at her body! She is thin, you can see from her bones. It is embarrassing. And you guys want to
eat her?” said mouse deer.

The crocodiles stopped their action. “Hi mouse deer, I knew you are trying to trick me,
right? It’s better for you to leave this river, “said crocodile’s leader.
 “No, you are wrong. I just didn’t expect that these strong crocodiles attacked one small
cow,” said mouse deer.

“He is right, we can get the bigger and stronger animals. Why we attacked her?” said
another crocodiles. He come down on the side of mouse deer.

“But she drank the water from this river, our territory. We must to eat her,” another
crocodiles egg the leader on.

And the crocodile’s group divided into two groups. They were fight each other and the leader
can’t stop them. While they are fighting, the cow and the mouse deer leave them and the cow
was safe from the crocodiles.
