    Sternocleidomastoid (SCM) Sternal head: Manubrium of the Mastoid process of the temporal BL: Flexion of the neck.
    moves the head and neck sternum bone, (also assist inhalation by lifting ribcage)
    Clavicular head: Medial ⅓ of the
    clavicle (and lateral part of superior nuchal line
    UL: Lateral flexion of head/neck,
    of occiput)
    rotation of head to opposite side.
    Overall Description: Medial clavicle,
    (rotating also makes face turn upward)
    and manubrium of the sternum
    Scalenes: Anterior Scalene Anterior.: TVP's C3-C6 Anterior: Anterior-medial Rib 1 BL: Raise ribs #1 & 2 for inhalation,
    Middle Scalene Middle: TVP's C2-C7 Middle: Lateral Rib 1 assist flexion of the neck (ant.&mid.).
    Posterior Scalene Posterior: TVP's C5-C7 Posterior: Lateral Rib 2
    move the neck UL: Lateral flexion of neck
    Overall Description: TVP’s of C2-C7 Overall Description: Ribs 1 & 2 (ant.&mid.–assist rotation to opp. side)

    Longus Capitis, Longus Colli Capitis: TVP’s of C3-C5 Capitis: Inferior surface of occiput BL: Flexion of the head/neck.
