PT. RAGAT SARANA TEKNIK Date Issued :
Test Procedure July 21, 2019
1. TITLE
XLPE CABLE 150 KV AC WITHSTAND TEST
2. SCOPE
- CABLE 150 KV AC WITHSTAND TEST
- INSULATION RESISTANCE TEST
3. OBJECTIVE
This is to assure that the requirements of electrical individual test works are meets the
codes requirements and contract specifications. To make sure, the works are carried out
acceptable workmanship and follow the requirements in the quality manual.
4. REFERENCE
4.1 Reference Manual
4.2 Applicable Manufacturers Manuals/Standards
4.3 Contract Specifications and Construction Drawing
4.4 Standard for hand-over test of electric equipment installation engineering
( GB Standard 50150-2006 ).
4.5 Withstand voltage tests on cable 150 kV can be performed using the AC test system with
variable frequency once laid on-site. The test system operates in a frequency range from
20 Hz to 300 Hz and complies with the requirements according to IEC 60840 and IEC
62067.
6. TEST ITEM
6.1 Visual Inspection
6.2 Insulation resistance test
6.3 Cable 150 kV AC Voltage Withstand Test
7. Test Procedure
7.1 Conditioning before testing
7.1.1 All earting switches of the circuit being tested are opened position
7.1.2 All adjacent portions are insulated and grounded
7.1.3 If VT’S are designed for UGC test voltage, one side of the secondary winding has
to be conected to earth and wiring to local cubicle has to be disconnected
7.1.4 If VT’S not designed for UGC test voltage are removed or insulated by opening of
a disconector
7.1.5 The secondary winding of all current transformer must be shorted and grounded
7.1.6 Surge arrester / lightning arrester are disconected from cable
7.1.7 Power transformers are isolated from the cable and conected to ground
7.1.8 Cable box (if available) are isolated conected to ground at one side.
