MINUTES OF THE 2nd REGULAR SESSION OF THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF CAMAMBUGAN,

STA.BARBARA, ILOILO HELD AT THE BARANGAY HALL ON OCTOBER 21, 2018 AT 9:00 A.M.

The meeting was called to order by the Presiding Officer at 9:00 o’clock in the morning.
A minute of prayer was led by SB Member Roberto G. De Leon Jr.

Since there was an attendance sheet being signed by the members as they come inside
the session hall and the presence of a quorum was determined, the roll call was dispensed with.

The minutes of the previous session dated Oct. 7, 2018 was read. There being no
corrections offered, on motion of SB Member Fernando D. Ganat Jr., and duly seconded by SB
Member Jose Marie S. Suacillo, the minutes of the previous session was adopted.

On motion of SB Member Jose Marie Suacillo and duly seconded by SB Member

Fernando Ganat Jr. the appropriated amount for 2019 IRA of the barangay was approved.

BUSINESS OF THE DAY:

1. Health Program
Maam Cecilia Soubiron, Health Sanitary Inspector II, informed through the
Punong Barangay the prevalent diseases caused by mosquitoes such as chikungunya,
philariasis and dengue. She advised the barangay to clean their surroundings to
prevent these diseases.
According to Soubiron, there are some houses which don’t have comfort rooms.
The Barangay Officials should oblige them to construct their own CRs.
The Punong Barangay then said that Zone 1 is the most problematic since they
use a communal CR. SB Member De Leon was required to inform the residents of Zone
1. Also, other zones should also be informed by the SB Members of the requirements of
the Rural Health Unit.

2. Vacant Position in the Barangay Council

A recommendation letter, endorsing Maylen Medez who is the daughter of
former SB Member May Gorantes to fill up the vacancy in the Council, from SB Member
Rodrigo Sondia was forwarded to the Punong Barangay.
In case the Mayor will disapprove of the recommendation of Salvador Galang,
Medez will be recommended in the next session.
On motion of SB Member Roberto De Leon Jr. and duly seconded by SB Member
Efren Simpao, the recommendation of Salvador Galang, as SB Member was approved.

OTHER MATTERS:

1. Punong Barangay informed that there was a meeting called by the CAAP last
October 15. Some of the topics were:
a. Monthly meeting of the Punong Barangays near the airport;
 b. Creation of Strike and other Wildlife Hazard Management;
2. Punong Barangay reminded the Committee of the Assembly meeting this
afternoon,
October 21, 2018 at 2:00PM.

There being no more topics to be discussed, on motion of Kagawad May Gorantes and
duly seconded by Kagawad Henry Sulleza, the meeting was adjourned at 11: 50 AM.
