THE SIMPLE PAST TENSE
• We use the simple past for an action that began
and ended at a particular time in the past.
• We use it for an activity that took place regularly
in the past.
TIME EXPRESSIONS

we use AGO
YESTERDAY
last week , month , year..
LAST
The adverbials often go at the end of the
sentence but not always …
Eg.
