You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para

New York is a big city in the

United States (North
America). It takes thousand
of visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central
Park, the Metropolian
museum and Time’s Square.
In the picture you can see the
Statue of Liberty, a monumet
built between 1875 and 1986.
It is 93 meters tall. The statue

plaza located directly in front

Saint Peter’s Basilica in the
Vatican City. At the centre of
square is an Egyptian obelisk,
erected at the current site in
1586.
In Italy you can find The Gran
Canal of Venice where you
can
ride boats
of Australia. Here is The
Sydney Opera House. It
building occupy the whole of
Bennelong Point in Sydney
Harbour. This building was
opened in 1973 and It became
a UNESCO World Heritage
site in 2007. More than eight
million people visit the site
each year. Sydney

Scotland and it’s the second most
populous city in
Scotland.Edinburgh Castle is a
historic fortress which dominates

nature of the early settlement is
unclear. There has been a royal
castle on the rock since at least the
reign of David I in the 12th
 Dubai is the most populous
city in UAE. The city has a lot
of modern buildings. Dubai is
located in the Arabian
Desert.Burj Khalifa known as
Burj Dubaibefore its
inauguration, is a megatall
skyscraper in Dubai, United
Arab Emirates. It is the tallest
structure in the world,
standing at 829.8 m (2,722 ft).
Construction of the Burj
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) – The Burj Khalifa began in 2004, with
Khalifa the exterior completed in
2009. The primary structure is
reinforced concrete. The
building was opened in 2010
as part of a new development
called Downtown Dubai. It is
designed to be the
centerpiece of large-scale,
mixed-use development. The
decision to build the building
is reportedly based on the
government's decision to
diversify from an oil- based
economy, and for Dubai to
gain international recognition.

honor of the ruler of Abu
Dhabi and president of the
United Arab Emirates, Dubai

Burj Khalifa
