2.3.9 DOUBLE DRUM OPERATION


1. Level the hook block by operating H1 and H2 winch
lever to set the initial lifting height. Perform "the ini-
tial adjustment of lifting height gauge" in accor- LEVEL

dance with operator's manual.


Refer to P.2-43, 2-44.

2. Turn the "DOUBLE DRUM" switch on. Then the


"DISPLAY OF THE ENGINE SPEED AND THE
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN H1 AND H2 WINCH
DRUMS" will be indicated on the monitor.

This screen shows the difference of wire rope


length spooled in or out from H1 and H2 winch.

Press "ZERO" switch to reset the value of "LIFT" to

3. Turn the H1 and H2 speed adjustment knob to the


slowest position.

4. Both H1 and H2 lever pull/push at a same time to


H1 CONTROL LEVER
lift up or down the load.
H2 CONTROL LEVER

5. To keep the hook block level, check the value of


"LIFT" indicated on the monitor.
If the "LIFT" is not zero, H1 and H2 winch speed is
not same.
When the value of "LIFT" is positive, H1 winch is
faster than H2 winch. To keep hook block level, ad-
just the H2 speed adjustment knob to increase H2
winch speed until "LIFT" value become zero.
When "LIFT" is negative, H2 winch is faster than H1
winch. Then adjust the H1 speed adjustment knob
to increase H1 winch speed until "LIFT" value be-
come zero.
