PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
The MICO Pressure Switch is a high pressure surge
resistant switch specially designed for hydraulic
applications.
The pressure switch contains a single pole double throw
snap action switch that is controlled by a pressurized piston
and counteracting spring.
Fluid pressure is used to actuate a piston, which in turn
forces against a spring retainer. As the pressure
increases the retainer compresses the spring. When this oc-
curs the floating disc moves away from the spring lever of
the snap action switch, thus, contact transfer results.
By adjusting the specially designed end cap, the preload on
the spring is varied causing different switch pressure points
to be achieved.

FLUID TEMPERATURE RANGE: NBR Seal Ring -45° F
(-43° C) to 220° F (104° C). EPDM Seal Ring - 70° F (-57° C)
to 300° F (149° C).
OPTIONS: If a higher pressure range is desired (3,500 to
10,000 psi) consult factory.
For pressure connections a No. 4 SAE o-ring port is available.

Lead wire lengths other than 16 inches are available.

These MICO PRESSURE SWITCHES are available for hydraulic applications

when an electrical connection or disconnection is desired at a certain predeter-
mined hydraulic pressure.
MICO PRESSURE SWITCHES are available with a normally open or normally
closed switch. Pressure settings from 250 to 1200 psi.
