List of Targeted Learner Interventions

The LCP assures that all possible measures will be taken to ensure
that no child will be excluded from learning during the COVID-19 crisis. Think
about groups of learners in your School/Division who might require special
consideration to be able to participate in DL. Describe what targeted interventions
you would develop to include them. Listed below are some examples which may be
relevant to your context. Add others as appropriate. Write down your answers in
your Study Notebook and share your ideas at your next LAC Session.

Learner Group Targeted Interventions


Learners without parents or  The teacher encourages the pupil to be more patient to

Struggling readers (Grades  Give video lessons, instructional materials in reading
4-12) for beginners and provide them other remedial activities;
consistent follow up.
 Provide reading materials particularly using Marungko
approach.
No access to devices and  The teacher will send them material/s such as SLM
Internet (Self Learning Modules), LAS (Self Learning Activity Sheets)
and WHLP (Weekly Home Learning Plan) to be delivered by
assigned parent leader/ barangay officials.
Persons with Disabilities  Guidelines should be clear to the parents as they will
assist their child. Treat the learners like a normal child and
provide activities that may improve the different aspects of
their personality. It can be monitored via voice calls, texts, or
internet resources.
