Good Morning ladies and gentlemen, nice to see you again. Still with me Lois Fransisca as your
tour guide today, so in my right side is Mr. Putu as professional driver and in my left side is Mr.
Wayan as assistant driver. Ladies and Gentlement before I explain about our schedule for
today, I would like to say ‘welcome to Denpasar city tour!!!’’. So our tour will start to visit bajra
sandhi monument to symbolies struggle of Balinese people, and the second we will visit musem
bali the etnograpic museum, and the last one is Art centre the cultural building complex. So I
hope you enjoy our tour today.
Ladies and gentlement, let me start about Denpasar in general. The capital city of bali is
Denpasar, so our tour direction is to see modern city in the of the eunique culture of bai island.
Denpasar is a small city, it’s only about 167 square kilometers with the population more than 8
hundred thousand people. Denpasar is located at the southern part of Bali island. Denpasar’s
name is taken from Balinese word it is Den means ‘North’ and pasar means ‘market’ so
Denpasar means north of the market because a hundrd years ago Denpasar is a village which is
located in the north of the market name is kumbasari market.in the past Denpasar is the center
of Badung kingdom which dominates south of Balifor hundred years. Now, Denpasar become
the center of government in bali, economic, tourist industry, education and culture.
Ladies and gentlement that’s is the explaination about Denpasar in general and the last
information is about tourist destination we will visit soon. It is art centre, the cultural building
complex in bali. Art center was built in 1978, it was designed by Ida Bagus Mantra as the
governorof bali at the time.
For general thi complex has a three zone, it is crowdes zone, half crowded zone and silent zone.
In crowded zone you can see arda Chandra amphiyheater and kesiranawa, this is two biggest
theater in art center, in the north side is half crowded zone, there are two important building it
is magundara mandara giri is special building for permanent exhibition of art ike painting,
statue and the others. And in the silnt side there are temple fot the staff of art centre. Between
crowded complex and half complex is separated by small river and connected with unique
bridge it’s call gajah mina, so don’t forget to take picture in there.
Ladies and gentlemen we have visited interesting object, first is bajra sandhi monument,
second is Balinese architecture at art center and the last is bali museum. I would like to say
