PROTEUS : RANDOM CIRCUIT

INTRODUCTION:
Proteus Design Suite (designed by Labcenter Electronics Ltd.) is a software tool set, mainly used
for creating schematics, simulating Electronics & Embedded Circuits and designing PCB
Layouts.
IN THIS LAB we will design a circuit in proteus and simulate the results. We will compare the results with
our calculated results as well.

PROJECT:
In this lab we will prove the voltage division and check for the voltage division formula.

Voltage Division:
When two resistors R1 and R2 are connected in series, the source voltage Vs is divided between them
such that the voltage across R1 is equal to :

And voltage across R2 is equal to :

Circuit Diagram:
CALCULATIONS
IT CAN BE SEEN USING THE CIRCUIT DIAGRAM THAT THE EQUIVALENT RESISTANCE OF R2||R3 IS IN
SERIES WITH R1.IN THIS CASE

R1=10k ohm

R2=20k ohm

R3=10k ohm

R 2 × R 3 20∗10
Now Req = = = 6.67k ohms
R 2+ R 3 20+10
Now using voltage division,

Let Vs=10V

V R 1=¿10 X 10/ (10+6.67) = 5.998 V

V Req=10 X 6.67/ (10+6.67) = 3.999 V

SIMULATION:

RESULTS:
VR1=5.99V

VR2=4.00V

CONCLUSION:
The simulation results in proteus successfully supported our calculated results.
