What are the types of English that were mentioned in the video?

 The types of English that were mentioned in the video:

 United States - English language native to the United States and most influential form of
English worldwide.
 Britain - English language as used in the United Kingdom
 Australia - English language native to Australia.

What are the differences in the types of English that were mentioned?
 The differences of types of English shown in the video are:
 Pronunciation – where the words or spoken language are pronounced differently. We also
call it as “accent”.
 Spelling – where a way words are formed. British English sometimes uses lexis words.
Example: British (favourite/colour/centre) while US English uses (favorite/color/center)
 Vocabulary – the words used in particular language. Even though those countries both
speak English there are times that they still got confused in communicating with each other
due to the use of different words at the same thing.

In your opinion, how are these varieties formed?

 Those varieties maybe formed by the history of the country itself where the cultures and
beliefs are transferred from one generation to another. Also, some are formed on
influencing where different countries shares different cultures to each other. It also maybe
formed by people discovers different types of variety or because of exploring different
words and pronunciations from different cultures.

 We might prefer one type of English and that’s okay. It’s not about what type of language
you have because there’s no right or wrong English. You can use what standard of English
you have or using. If it is your spoken language then why not use it? No one has the right to
judge and correct the language you have because we are all different. We all came from
different cultures and the most important is the “Respect everyone’s beliefs and cultures.”
