1. React to the statement "English is not a single variety.

It is conglomeration of
different dialects."
 English language is where people use to transact, and it was an international dialect.
English is a universal language, when you will go to other country you can communicate
to every people as long as you know how to talk English. We can say that English is not a
single variety because in most countries like America and nearest countries of it are also
using English language even though they if used different languages.  English is the first
choice of foreign language in most other countries of the world. Some countries like
parts of Asia like Japan, Taiwan, and China needs tutors so that they will learn English
language. English language is much helpful. Indeed, through this language we can
communicate people from different countries worldwide.  

2. In what aspects do the British, American, and Australian English differ?


 It has been complicated by the arrival of the regional forms of English around the world.
The most obvious way in which Australian English is distinctive from other varieties
of English is through its unique pronunciation. Australian English follows British spelling
very closely but many common words are spelt differently in American English. Despite
being different in spelling, the meaning of the word is the
same. Australian and American English have different ways of spelling certain words.

3. Name one (1) challenge/difficulty that you already experienced in studying the
different varieties of English. How did you overcome that challenge/difficulty?
 Pronunciation, it’s very hard for me to pronounce every words especially when the
spelling was complicated to pronounce. Don't speak too fast. It's harder to understand
words when they are delivered quickly. Listen and observe. Observe how others speak
and listen to their pace and intonation.
