B. Task 1: Write a dialogue for each of the following situations.

1. You are doing the History Project with your group at the library after school. Your
bestfriend cannot finish his/her part. Offer a help to do it together.

Lija : “Hey. Have you finished your history project? I’ve done mine by the
way.”
Tari : “Good for you, I’ve been having a headache doing this project. I can’t
finish it, there is something missing.”
Lija : “Really? Do you want me to help you with that?”
Tari : “Are you for real? Yes! Thank you so much, I’ll treat you lunch later.”
Lija : “Okay, let’s see.”

2. School holiday is coming soon. You and your family have a plan to go abroad, but
do not have time to surf the internet to find the best place and best deals. Offer
your parents to find the needed information and to arrange the vacation with the
tour agent.
 Dea : “Have you guys decided where will be going on this holiday?”
Mom : “We tried to, but we can really find a best place and the best offer on
the internet.”
Dad : “Yeah, we’ve been looking for lots of places, but didn’t find the right
one.”
Dea : “ Why don’t you guys tell me? I know lots of websites where we can
find a really good place with a good price. Can I help you find it?”
Dad : “ Yes, that will be so much easier. Thank you, Darling.”
Dea : “ You are welcome, Dad.

3. You work in a tour agency. You see a young gentleman enter your office
awkwardly. Offer your service and try to convince him to take one of your holiday
packages.

Sinta : “ Good morning sir. What can I help you with?”

Daffa : “ I want to take a vacation with my family, but I never really find a good
offer.”
Sinta : “ We can help you with that, we provide our costumers with lots of
holiday packages including hotels, food, transportation, and other
facilities whether it’s domestics or overseas.”
Daffa : “ We really want to go to Bali.”
Sinta : “ Here are some of the options. Take your time to look at it.”
Daffa : “ Thank you.”

4. A friend is absent because she is sick. You visit her this afternoon. Your friend
needs your help to communicate with the teacher about an assignment that she
hasn’t finished yet. Offer her a help.

Jovan : “ Hey. How do you feel lately?”

Ruby : “ I’m not feeling really well. I’ve been hospitalized for a week. But I can
not tell Mrs. Sandra about her assignment.”
Jovan : “ Can I help you to communicate with her? And I think that she will
understand and give you a time to heal.”
Ruby : “ Thank you so much Jovan, I really appreciate that.”
Jovan : “ Don’t worry about it, just focus on your healing don’t worry about the
assignment. Hope you get well soon.”
 5. You want to go to the movie this weekend. You ask several friends to go with
you. Two of your friends can not make up their mind. Offer to treat them so that
they can go with you.

Marthin : “ Hi guys. There is this really good movie coming out on the cinema.
Let’s go watch it together!”
Onel : “ I’ve been saving up lately, because I want to buy this really cool soccer
shoes.”
Destri : “ Yeah, I don’t really have any money because my sister just had her
birthday so I have to buy her a gift.”
Marthin : “ What if, this time I’ll buy the ticket for you guys?”
Onel : “ Is it really okay? We promise to treat you sometimes.”
Destri : “ Yeah. Next time I will pay for the food.”
Marthin : “ All right. See you guys at 5 p.m.”
