Last night we had 8 cops barge into our building at 25 Broad Street through the back doors when my
security opened them to take out the trash.... like they were the Mofia!!
Forcing the staff out of the building by 1:30am , due to some ordinance that has just appeared
apparently after 3 yrs of us doing business...
6. Pay out security. There’s 8 of them (for the safety of our staff and patrons)
7. Payout dj’s
So on top of all this, having 8 cops in the building, watching over our shoulders as we count our cash
and tip of our employees ,& they threatened everybody in the building that they would be maced if
they did not get out by 1:30. How is the Pawtucket Police Department going to threaten my
employees?? I have a major issue with this.
This is a bad look for our business , having all these patrol cars out side for no reason, threatening my
staff, watching us while we do our job , & disrespecting my husband, and my staff!
My attorney Peter Petraca will be contacted tomorrow to set up a meeting with the board, when it’s
Convenient for all.
The city of Pawtucket has several after parties that take place from 2 AM to 4 AM... That needs to be
the police departments top priority right now , let alone the drug addicts, and homeless people walking
around downtown...
We do everything by the books including paying taxes, yet we were bullied and harassed, I wonder if we
were a white owned establishment with a white staff and white patrons, if we would have received the
same treatment. I am appalled and disgusted by what took place Saturday night
I don’t understand how the city of Pawtucket wants to grow in the near future when these are the
issues that we’re having with the police department and the closed mindedness of the city of
Pawtucket.
How is the city of Pawtucket going to handle it when the stadium comes and all these businesses are
moving into the area.? I personally don’t think the city of Pawtucket is ready for such growth.
We have been there for 3 yrs. We run a clean, safe and friendly establishment. We have brought in
patrons from all over Boston and Connecticut, if it weren’t for us downtown Pawtucket would still be a
ghost town. I believe that because of our presence in the downtown area , we have created a footprint
for other businesses to join us in the near future but not if the city and police department continue to
try and tear us down.
I hope this is something that we can rectify, because to be honest, I’m really considering not resigning
our lease next year because Pawtucket isn’t ready for growth and we are.
Thank you
