Future plans: Will- going to

- The future: El futuro simple es un tiempo gramatical que indica una acción que se va
realizar. Ejemplo: Roberto viajara a Roma la próxima semana – Robert will travel to
Roma the next week.

 Will: Es un auxiliar que se utiliza para indicar el tiempo futuro, no tiene significado en
español, pero da la terminación del verbo en futuro.
 Will travel – viajara Will buy – comprara

 Going to: también se utiliza para expresar futuro y cuando sabemos con cierta seguridad
que va a pasar. Ejemplo: Roberto va a viajar a Roma la próxima Semana. Robert is going
to travel to Roma the next week. Ellos van a comprar un carro. They are going to buy a
car.

Our Night at the Ice Hotel
In February they are going to stay one night at the ice Hotel in Kiruna, in Sweden. It will be a
fantastic experience!
The hotel is of ice and snow! But don’t worry about the cold. lt will be -29 degrees outside but in
the hotel it is always -5 degrees. They are going to wear big coats and the temperature won’t be a
problem. At night they will stay on a bed made of ice but in a sleeping bag. They won’t be cold at
all. There is a shower in the bathroom but no bath. They will sleep well and in the morning there
is a big Swedish breakfast.
But there are some problems. The restaurant is very expensive and the service is very slow- They
will wait an hour for our starters.
What is there to do in the hotel? There aren’t any TVs but there is an 'ice bar'. Here you can have
a cocktail in an ice glass! lt isn’t cheap but it's an experience. There’s also a spa wonderful! We
had a great time at the ice Hotel, but one night will be enough.
