CATECHISTS’ SUNDAY // GRANDPARENTS’ DAY

“FORGIVE US OUR SINS AS WE FORGIVE . . . ”

W e live in a world plagued with vengefulness, hatred and un-

forgiveness. This is not the situation God wants for us. In His
immense love, He sent His Son to bring us His forgiveness,
heal the wounds of our division, and teach us how to live as members
of His family. On the day of his resurrection, Jesus appeared to his dis-
ciples to give them his forgiveness and peace, and before ascending
into heaven, he sent them to the whole world to bring to all the good
news of God’s merciful love.
Let us remember that September is National Catechetical Month
and National Teacher’s Month (Sept. 5 – October 5). Today is Catechists’
Sunday, a very special opportunity for us to remember and pray for our
catechists, the unsung heroines and heroes of the faith. On this same
day, we will also pray for all grandparents as we keep this worldwide
observance in their honor. HAPPY CATECHISTS’ SUNDAY! HAPPY GRANDPARENTS’ DAY!
