Management Skills

The skills which must be needed in bank managers to designate them as managers are:

• Supervision of entire branch

• Problem solving

• Staff management

• Work with people

• Selling & marketing branch product

 Supervision of entire branch : all customer problems should be resolved, and the
manager should promote the creation of new accounts by suggesting suitable new
marketing strategies and resolving all customer issues.
 Problem solving : managers must use logic to find solutions to problems and come up
with new, uncommon, or innovative solutions.
 Staff management : is that mangers should perform monthly salary generation,
attendance, leave sanctions of the employees and to perform search regarding various
categories within less time.
 Work with people : managers should learn or teach new skills using a variety of
approaches. Bring people together to resolve their disagreements and show them how
to do anything to solve problems.
 Selling & marketing branch product : banking products, markets, and legislation are
all things manager should be familiar with. Recognize the target market, and devise a
strategy to reach them.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
A well-developed and well-coordinated structure is a critical prerequisite for any organization's
success. It sets the basis upon which functions and procedures are carried out. Any company
requires a structure to provide a basis for its operations to be effective. A variety of tasks
related to decision making are involved in the management of an entity.

Designing of Organizational Structure:


1) WORK SPECIALIZATION : All of the employees at Bank Al Habib are specialists in their
respective fields. Each and every employee has their own job description. Many of the
employees have a basic understanding of banking.
2) DEPARTMENTALIZATION: The employees at Bank Al Habib Ltd are divided into
categories based on the roles they perform. It means that the Bank Al Habib has
functional departmentalization.
3) CHAIN OF COMMAND : General Manager Deputy GM Assistant GM Senior Chief
Manager Chief Manager Senior Manager Managers Assistant Manager Officers.
4) CENTRALIZATION AND DECENTRALIZATION : Bank Al Habib is a centralized planning
and managing body. Planning is the responsibility of the senior management
community, especially the board of directors, and there is a head office under them to
monitor any deviation from the specified plan.

Bank AL Habib Limited has a long background in the banking industry, dating back to the 1920s.
The Group was one of the founding members of Habib Bank Limited and was instrumental in
meeting Pakistan's financial and banking needs. It has over 850 branches. Bank Al Habib has
wholesale branches in Bahrain, Seychelles and Malaysia and offices in UAE, Istanbul, Beijing,
and Kenya. The deposit department, clearing department, and remittance department, as well
as the cash department and credit department, are all part of Bank Al Habib.
