POSITION SUMMARY

The Leader Business Analysis is responsible for the design, creation, integration and documentation of
the analytics and reporting infrastructure to support client objectives. This position contributes to strategic
development of the Business System team and has management responsibility for staff. May be
member of the IT Leadership team and key advisor to business leaders & clients, in supporting strategic
IT initiatives. Supports large scale projects with moderate to high complexity.

1 The Leader Business Systems Analysis collaborates with the IT leadership team to 40
develop, design and implement global strategic initiatives and is a member of the
IT Leadership team as well as a key advisor to clients.
2 Management responsibility for employees including assigning, directing and 25
evaluating work; conducting performance evaluations, progressive counseling and
career development discussions and appropriate training and education. Also
provides input into decisions regarding hiring, firing and discipline of employees as
well as promotion, salary and bonus actions.
3 Collaborates with business leaders to assess information needs; gathers and 20
defines business requirements and establishes priorities. Ensures business
requirements are met by design system; provides user support and training; and
manages user expectations and requirements scope. Works closely with program
managers, architects, systems analyst, test team, business users and vendors.
4 Executes product evaluations to select and recommend analytic and reporting 10
platform. Defines, establishes and executes analytics and reporting strategies and
reviews functional and technical specifications.
5 Assists with the development of user guides, reference materials, training 5
materials and code release artifacts. Establishes test plans and coordinates
quality assurance and user acceptance testing. Establishes change control
process as well as contributes to development and acceptance testing. Facilitates

bug resolution and implementation process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Indicate the education level, previous experience, specific knowledge, skills and abilities required to meet minimum requirements for
this position.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or


(degree / diploma) equivalent
Experience Minimum 15 years of experience working in systems development groups
creating automated solutions to business problems. Experience managing
staff. Business Analysis management position for 10+ years
Knowledge and skills Experience with relational and multi-dimensional database technologies
(general and technical) and data warehouse design and development. Experience with
MicroStrategy or similar analytics platforms; Experience with Informatica or
similar ETL tools. Experience working with SaaS platforms is preferred.
Strong technical, analytical. And problem solving skills and proficiency in
the development of financial and operational analytics. Experience
designing new solutions (versus enhancing existing platforms) is preferred.
