BUTLER-personal assistant of the guest


-civil servant of a rich family

UPON THE ARRIVAL OF THE GUEST:


(At the door /lobby area)

BUTLER: Good Morning Ma’am/sir, welcome to (name of your hotel) , I’m (your name)
, your butler for today.

Can I carry your luggage’s ma’am/sir?

GUEST: Yes please.

BUTLER: Ma’am/sir I receive one luggage in good condition and no damage. (The butlers should
mention to the guest the number of their luggage and let them know if there are any damage or none.)

GUEST: okay.

BUTLER: This way to the front desk for your registration. (The butler will assist the guest to the fr4ont
guest.)
-Ma’am/sir here’s your ving card. Your room number is (2001) , located at the (20th floor).

GUEST: Okay.

BUTLER: This way to the elevator please. (Assist the guest to the elevator, allow them to enter first)
- After you ma’am, please watch your step.

(While on the elevator, it is important to established rapport to the guest. You can asked questioned but
avoid asking personal questions.)

BUTLER: Ma’am/sir is this you’re first time here in our hotel?

GUEST: Yes.

BUTLER: Are you on vacation?

GUEST: Yes.

BUTLER: Can I introduce to you the facilities that we have here in our hotel?

GUEST: Yes please.

BUTLER: Okay ma’am/sir we have here the Restaurant, open from 6am until 12 midnight. It is located at
the ground floor of the building. And also we have the Hotel’s Spa which is open 24 hours. And it is
located at the 2nd floor.
(When the elevator stop to the assigned floor...)
- Okay ma’am/sir we’re here now at the (floor number).
(Let the guest get out in the elevator first.)
- After you ma’am/sir. Please watch your step.

IN FRONT OF THE ROOM:


BUTLER: Ma’am/sir, were here now at your room, Room (room number) .
(Knock 3 times…)
- Would you like me to show you how to use your ving card ma’am/sir?
(If the guest say’s yes...)
- Ma’am/sir, you just have to swipe your key card, and if the green lights appears, it means that
the door is already open. If the red light is on, the door is still locked.
(Open the door.)
BUTLER: Welcome to your room ma’am/sir.
- Ma’am/sir, the master switch is here beside the door, you just have to insert your key card
here and the electricity will automatically turn on.
- Where do you prefer to put your luggages?
- Would you like me to unpack your things?
- How about polishing your shoes?

(Show to the guest the bathroom and other facilities in the room.)
BUTLER: May I show you the bathroom ma’am/sir?
- This way please.
- Ma’am/sir as you can see, we have provided you a complete set of bathroom amenities.
- We have a bathtub, provided with hot and cold water. Would you like me to prepare your
bathtub?
- Okay ma’am/sir, may I show you the other facilities that we have here in this room.

(Going back to the living area…)
BUTLER: Ma’am/sir, this is your television set, all cable ready. You can enjoy watching movies.

- There is your mini bar, let me remind you that all beverage that you will consume will be
automatically charged to your guest room account. The price list is at the top of the mini bar.

- Also we have the Wi-Fi connection. Just turn on the Wi-Fi setting on your device and it will
automatically connect.

- If you want some further assistance, we have here the in-house directory. Just dial the number
you wish to call and they will assist you.

- If you want to connect to the operator, just dial 101.

- And also we have here the room service menu, where in if you want for a room service, just
dial 102 for food and beverage department.

- If you want an extra pillows or blanket, just dial 103 for housekeeping department.

- If you want to connect to the front desk, just dial 104.

- And also I would like to inform you that the floor plan of this building is at the back of the
door. You can check it just in case of emergency.

GUEST: Thank you for that.

BUTLER: Your welcome ma’am/sir.

GUEST: None thank you.
